Fair chance this might turn into several players having to sit out for Melbourne. I wonder how hard the 'postponement' calls will be made compared to when we were hit hard vs North. Or perhaps people shrug their shoulders as it involves an undefeated team who could arguably afford a loss.

The AFL have pretty much said all of the H&A games will go ahead.

Lol - I was in a pub overseas and it was as rowdy as if we were at the game. I had to go for a walk outside a 3QT - I'd told myself that I would know who would win by whoever was in front. It was drawn at that stage so the pressure got to me and I had to cool down

Close grand finals are always memorable. I went to the MCG for 2015 and can hardly remember much of the game, is it was pretty clear we were done by quarter time.

Or that double overtime v Port with Shuey.

Was at a pub for a 21st. Wife warns me, no football.

It's on the big screen but we are secluded away with a party of 30. Half time, screw this, watch it on my phone with Foxtel Go.

Then whole pub getting into it, so I'm glued to the big screen...

Oh man and when we won, couldn't go home with the family... brother was DJ'ing in the city, so takked onto that and partied all morning.

I preferred the channel 9 and 10 broadcast. Better footy shows, better ACTUAL commentators ..not former AFL players straight out the system who cant call play by play.

Fox footy's coverage of the AFL and pre/post, mid week shows are great.

I enjoy watching the analysis and even the news segments.

7 is shithouse, i just wished the AFL GF would be simulcast on fox footy with no ads.

I know sport is a bit different, but all these competing streaming services are going to drive people back to piracy, defeating the whole purpose (from the point of view of the media companies anyway).

Normally I like competition, but just having everything on Netflix was so much better. Same with Steam vs all the other (crappier) alternatives clogging my hard drive (but at least they're free to install and don't have a subscription fee like the streaming services).

I wouldn't have an issue if another free to air broadcaster got on board to encourage more games on free to air TV, five games or even six per week on free to air (shared between Seven and Ten) would be great for the game and offer it a lot more exposure than what it does now.

Fox Footy do a great job with the game at the moment but the issue is most games are hidden behind a subscription each week which I feel is wrong. I understand why it is done (money talks after all) but feel it would be a lot better with more games on free to air television rather than having up to six games per week on subscription TV.

Seems as if any bid from 10/Paramount Plus will be a similar coverage package to what is in place currently with most games requiring a subscription to watch them.

2018 GF would have been amazing with a 5 min warning. Darling's dropped mark would have caused us to have heart attacks, instead, I knew we were safe once Shuey stopped them from clearing it after a behind.

Bruce also had too much time to be able to prepare his overly rehearsed crap about "Big Stadium, Big Flag" vs Huddo's off the cuff "Sequel better than the original" in 2006.

I did enjoy the five minute warning, not knowing how much time if left adds to the game, particularly if the match is close. I wish they'd do what happens with the state league matches currently and just have a count up timer for all quarters.

Big regression from Adelaide thus far today. A similar result happened last year, GWS gave them a touch up at AO after Adelaide had come in in form.

Hopefully Melbourne can be 2013 Hawthorn in this case. I'm curious to see how they go in a high stakes final with the vast majority of their team not having played in a single final.

Correct. It is the same in SA. I mentioned it recently, the only “good” thing about them doing well when we aren’t is that it is an impetus for us to lift.

The Crows were majorly stung into action by Poorts resurgence.

Anyhow… it is a LONG season. Unfortunately for us. And unfortunately for them (Freo) also. Flying now… but can it be sustained? Interesting times that’s for sure

Their forwards work hard and put on pressure to lock the ball in their forward half while their midfield runs both ways making their defenders' lives easier by not having to deal with much clean entries. They have everything clicking atm.
