To be fair theyve won the ONLY ever final down there so holds great memories 4 them
Meanwhile we look bereft of ideas every time we go to KP. It's like the whole club just writes it off as a loss at the start of the season and does no match prep.

Dont worry they will bring in older calvary from opposing cubs, put then righ in contention:D

Geelong were on a downward trend previously, then Dangerfield landed in their lap and they were able to get a second wind. The older players they bought in were cream, but Dangerfield was that key.

Unless they can Jag something like that again, reality of using old players to top up and not developing youth is going to bite them hard.

Well done to freo. Glad someone gets it done down at that Geelong shithole

Not a good start for Geelong down there. Just beat Brisbane (10 points). And now losing to another interstate side there.

Lost there in the final round last year to the Dees and from what I recall, the previous home game against the Saints they just fell over the line after being behind for most of the game.

If the Kardinia Park aura is going then so are they. Will be interesting to see how they fare now.

6 years in row of bottom 6 finishes has helped Freo. I guess if we accepted that we’d get a handful of good young players. We’ve never gone more than 3 years of not playing finals. Might give that record a shake now.

Think positive. We will be getting access to these fabled good young players. And then the circle of life will continue 😂

And we rebuilt them

Not true

Cooper Stephens was the only young player they took (yet to debut). The rest of their draft assets they pushed in for Josh Jenkins (31 at the time) and Jeremy Cameron (28 at the time)

Not really fast tracking their rebuild is it?

Yep, are they ready this year.... gut feeling says no.

Maybe 2023, but if they have to wait until 2024 we might finally be starting to get better (history says we aren't really poor for more than 2 seasons), just in time to win a Derby or 2 and spoil their dreams

The narrowest ground in the competition favours teams with forward half pressing approaches.

It's also a major reason why our back-half dominant approach gets destroyed each time we travel there.

The impressive part from the match today was Fremantle out-pressed Geelong in their own backyard.
