That was a totally mutual thing after we both realised that we'd grown apart as player/football club and that early spark wasn't there anymore. The club's completely over it and doesn't get drunk and look up his country footy team on Facebook or anything.

Surprising he's gone this early in the season, things must have been much worse internally than was obvious.
Disregard, he quit in a huff because he was told he wasn't getting an extension.

I'm not sure about that. The players have escaped some scrutiny but the media have been foaming at their first opportunity to get a coach sacked for the year. It's a real badge of honour for them. And look at all the new content they've now created for themselves.
I think the main scrutiny they received was because they put Camerons contract talks on hold.
That they're 2-6 without a long injury list went under the radar a bit I think
I watched their last two games.
Vs the Crows they were free-flowing, playing on, playing fast, and absolutely put the Crows to the sword.
Fast forward a week, playing slow against the team you absolutely don't want to play slow against, and they lost.
Deserved firing/non extension for mine.
