He's too old. He's had a good year this year, but people are forgetting he's had a lot of injury problems in the previous. At his age, one major hammie and it's career over.

This is an interesting one - went to the Gold Coast match with an old WA mate who now lives out that way.

One of those types that is good to catch up with, but not too often, as they always somehow seem to know everything that is going on but are also a bit of a flog after a while. (To be fair, they are a Norf supporter after all - and never have truly recovered since Carey-gate).

Banged on all day about how Buddy was coming to Queensland because he does what Jesinta wants and he's happy to do beers and cones on the beach.

Reckoned it was a done deal for a 3rd rounder to replace McStay and keep the compensation pick.


Afterwards, I texted someone at the Lions who completely denied any knowledge of such a trade.


Took it with a rather large grain of salt, until Channel Nine broke with a similar story yesterday.


Will be interesting now to see what happens.
