If we’re not in the ear of Jordan Clarke about coming home we’re doing it wrong. Was a risk they had to take i guess.

I’d prefer we don’t go all out this year. He’s contracted til end of next year and he would attract a pick around the mid teens given that fact. Rules around us having to have a first rounder this year anyway, I’d prefer we keep our first rounder this year (or at the very least don’t give it to Geelong. )If we’re not in the ear of Jordan Clarke about coming home we’re doing it wrong.
If someone wants to pay a 1st rounder, let them.I’d prefer we don’t go all out this year. He’s contracted til end of next year and he would attract a pick around the mid teens given that fact. weak over the ball and struggles to find the pill on the outside? And he is supposed to sulk. Good fit down the road or are we wrong?Jordan Clarke isn’t what we need and isn’t all that good. He’s weak over the ball and struggles to find the pill on the outside.
Ground ball get should be our focus as we’re already a great uncontested side.

Interesting. I suppose with Danger at the club there’s only so much ego you can tolerate.Jordan Clarke wants to stay at Geelong and the main reason he has been getting dropped is because Geelong think he has an attitude problem and needs to sort out his ego. Source: a close mate of Clarke’s who heard it from him.
Sounds like Geelong have an attitude problem. Maybe that's why we beat them at football nearly half the time.Jordan Clarke wants to stay at Geelong and the main reason he has been getting dropped is because Geelong think he has an attitude problem and needs to sort out his ego. Also, Hope anyone still on the “we should’ve drafted Constable” train has jumped off.
Languishing in the VFL, looking like he will be delisted at years end. Doesn’t work hard away from a contest and his disposal isn’t great, and his contest work is only so so. Solid VFL player only.
I personally don’t agree.he is still a better player than Ainsworth
....and that's something to crowd about! We draw a bigger crow
Higher kicking efficiency than Ainsworth over his career and more than twice as many effective disposals a game, despite playing much less time on the field.I personally don’t agree.
Horrible action aside, he’s a considerably more accurate kick. And has at least stage where he is too good for WAFL, not quite good enough for AFL. Constable is middle of the pack at VFL level.
Not choosing McCartin over Ainsworth was the wrong choice in hindsight, not Constable.
Jordan Clarke is 20 years and 6 months old with 27 AFL games under his belt. We have a total of 4 players younger than him on our list, Ben Johnson, Luke Edwards, Zane Trew and Isiah Winder (for 1 game played).Jordan Clarke isn’t what we need and isn’t all that good. Would Johnson be an Aldi version of Clarke? Small HBFs that have decent disposal and attack out of defence.Jordan Clarke is 20 years and 6 months old with 27 AFL games under his belt. He has his flaws, but he's still so young, and the talent is there. If we can get him for the right price, he will develop into a good player.
Sure he’d be great on our list, but given Geelongs age profile they aren’t going to give him up easily even if he is a bit disgruntled at the minute. He’s a contracted player, and they can refuse the trade offers we consider fair. Ie anything not a first rounder.Jordan Clarke is 20 years and 6 months old with 27 AFL games under his belt. Not suggesting we give up our first rounder, comment from the start was simply that we should be in his ear, and if he wants to come home we look to facilitate that if the price was right.Sure he’d be great on our list, but given Geelongs age profile they aren’t going to give him up easily even if he is a bit disgruntled at the minute. Id prefer we head to the draft and pick up a midfielder with our first this year. Looks to be some good locals available around our pick.

Oh, I got that. I just think we should be in his ear about his plans after his current contract ends, not this year because the price won’t be right. Not suggesting we give up our first rounder, comment from the start was simply that we should be in his ear, and if he wants to come home we look to facilitate that if the price was right.
Let's say we get him at the end of next season when off contract.Who does he replace?
Great to see a lot more of these stories happening with players from African backgrounds able to forge a path for an AFL career
I stand to be corrected on this, but Allir Allir is looking like the first player of African descent to make an All-Australian team later this year also.
