Far out Richmond get a huge amount of rope from the umps
They give away a lot too though. Geelong has twice as many. They definitely push the line when it comes to their tall defenders shoving forwards under the ball in marking contests though
The over-the-head "handball" and "hand-it-to-the-guy-standing-next-to-me-because-I'm-tackled" stuff that is increasingly creeping into the game is a complete blight upon it.
If a player is able to try and avoid the tackle, that is prior opportunity.
If the player cannot legitimately dispose of the ball, that is incorrect disposal.
A handoff to a team mate next to you does not constitute a handball.

I hate Richmond with a passion but gotta give their recruiters credit. They picked Jake Aarts up from Narre Warren ressies or something and he is twice the small forward that Zac Langdon is.

That's a free kick if all the others are, I reckon. Not that I agree with that rule, but the interpretation has been clear for some time, and it goes against the ball winner.

Has all but completely eroded my enjoyment of the game as a neutral supporter and why I generally only watch WCE games now.
Seeing blatant rule breaches not being enforced due to the AFL pressuring umpires to conform to their agenda is a joke.

The few WAFL games I've caught this season have actually been better spectacles to me as a neutral supporter I do agree.
