Removing interstate clubs from FTA broadcast

That’s due to them being on the bottom of the ladder and the nature of being rewarded for finishing higher. It’s not a measure specifically targeting North. If they were in the top 4, they would be getting FTA.

This new proposed agreement is on the basis of the ongoing complete removal of FTA games in two footy crazy states for those home teams.

Imagine if the powers to be simply decided no Vic games would be available on FTA in Vic, it would simply never happen.
No it's not, it is just saying that teams in WA and SA shouldn't get all their games on FTA. Of course Koch head has blown it out of proportion and said they want to remove those teams from FTA completely which is just rubbish.

Yea, what's going on there is you left that page on its default setting of "Region: ACT - Canberra" and are reaping the benefits of the current deal of having every game from home state sides, excluding Victoria, broadcast into that state.

The only metric anyone talks about when discussing the prevelance of "free to air" games is who gets the games broadcast into Melbourne, as this is what the article is proposing - 7 broadcasts their 3/4 games a week nationally. Currently, 7 broadcast those games nationally but will not broadcast them into states which have a game involving their home state team on at the same time.

No it dosen't reference a blanket ban on FTA for any clubs.
Let me re-write the paragraph so you can hopefully understand it.

"Under the proposal, according to The Australian, matches involving the Power, Adelaide, West Coast and Fremantle might only be available on pay TV IF they do not fall on a Friday Night, Saturday 7:25pm, or Sunday 3:20PM AEST timeslot, instead of the current arrangement which sees All games no matter what timeslot they fall in broadcast on Channel 7 in those states.”

Concerning for the reading comprehension of the general public maybe, not for anything else.

What you have quoted is not what is actually in the article though. So based on that, unless that is from The Australian (which I don’t have access to and fair enough then), where have you got those added details highlighted in your post?

Or are they just assumptions which you have included yourself as you indicated in your other post without any other source?

The Dan Andrews Government and Jam Media are to start their own TV Station where only Victorian matchups are shown, all will be referred to as "Blockbusters" shown on repeat several times a day, they will fill space by showing Victorian AFLW matches, VFL matches and TAC Cup games. Ads will only consist of Tourism pieces featuring the God Awful Get Set by Taxiride. Only Eddie's immediate family and members of the Victorian Branch of the CMFEU are allowed to commentate, and anybody caught saying words with A and E parts pronounced correctly will have a 1 month "spall". Gillon ofcourse given an exemption. Any reference to Interstaters is widely discouraged.
Great work Big Man, you didn’t let me down.

The SA/WA clubs aren’t being removed from FTA. They’re just being put in the same position as the VIC clubs. That is, some games are on FTA and some games aren’t.

My cats are playing away in Adelaide this week, need foxtel/kayo to watch them. That’s just how it is. Its unsustainable for clubs to get 22 FTA games each year.

Victorian teams are more likely to play Away games in their home state, so fans who can't watch the game live on FTA still have a chance to see it live.

Away games for non-Victorian clubs involve an interstate flight, which is why they shouldn't be behind a pay wall or delayed.

But they will be if the AFL can get more money because sporting administrators are yet to realise that selling everything that they can possibly sell is not always in the interests of their sports. Or they do realise but don't care more than they care about their bonuses and bragging rights.

I have a brain. Are you really claiming that no WA or SA side will ever get a Friday night game again? Because that's what you have to be claiming.

Mate I’m discussing what was mentioned in the article.

Until you can actually provide information or any evidence which backs up your point without just making accusations, let us know.

Otherwise, you are just adding random information based on your opinion.

Pretty sure we played in Adelaide last week and it wasn't on FTA.

I'm ok with it. I've had to pay to see my team for years. Suck it up sooks.
I know times are pretty challenging for a lot of us but surely anyone that is a footy fan you can scratch up 80c a day for 6 months to get Kayo.
