I would say there’s next to no chance that the Sekem PIs are sold to the public. West Coast haven’t sold PIs at seasons end since 2012/13. When speaking to a guy at the club a few years back, he said they weren’t making any money from them, after the auction site fees, and the AFLPA fees and the royalties paid to each player. That’s why they stopped it. At best we might see some pop up at the gala auction like we did in 2018. The players have been given their jumpers at the end of the year, for the last few years, and some have sold them privately, but as far as being readily available to the public through the club at seasons end, it won’t happen.

Looks like we have finally reached a clib milestone where it’s not important to celebrate. So far it seems every 5 years we’ve had a special logo and/or a heritage jumper

Yep...they want to steal your money and ship you those Castore ones.

Imagine not giving your supporters the option to buy a decent guernsey

For all we know, one was planned but hasn't gone ahead owing to some combination of COVID and Castore...

I don't need a MW PI, I'd be more than happy with a spare PI. If they then sold it on their online store (to avoid fees etc) at say $250-350 a pop I'm sure there would still be buyers, and if not they could slowly reduce the price until it sells. So much wasted money grabbing potential..

Yeah, if they don't involve the player (ie don't get him to sign it, don't mention his name when selling it) an unused player issue sold through the team store wouldn't attract auction site fees or AFLPA shenanigans. Looks like donating unused player issues to Canadian and Irish amateur footy clubs is more lucrative than selling them for the stupid prices people in Aus pay these days for them.

That's not a terrible thing to do.

You must mean 2006, as 2007 we wore the black and yellow state strip.

Correct, it was 2006 against Collingwood at Docklands, I was at the game. I remember thinking McDougall had had a good game and might actually make it, but he never played for us again.

Random one but anyone buy this tshirt in the day? This photo is cropped but even on Nic Nat it barely gets below his waster. Mine shrunk after a couple washes and is the worst piece of Eagles gear I’ve bought.

So Freo have gone back to their original green strip for retro round this week…. Surely its time to bring the ochre back??

Ngl it does look nice for some odd reason. There’s something about retro designs on modern fabric that makes it nice.
