Sage Francis - Li(f)e fantastic album has got me right back onto the deep low-fi, indie type hip hop. Sage Francis, Atmosphere, POS all highly recommended.

Yeah, Sage Francis is good, but you need year-long breaks between his albums!

Hey ST, check out Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse present: Dark Night of the Soul. It's a cracking album, with a veritable who's who of guest vocalists, including film director David Lynch on two of the tracks.

As a lil country boy one of my pleasures was Big Green Tractors........

Yes I drove a John Deere for a few years...

Never thought I would hear a song about em!!!!!

Oh Gawd help us all LOL to think those poor students of the 80s have now got children going to school................ Glad I did all my schoolin in the 60s:D

A little bit of a pisstake. A little bit of it being just the stylings of a very DIY punk/ska band.

The first one is definately a piss take.

EDIT: I just listened to the 2nd one yeah it is definitely a bit of a pisstake they don't do screaming much, but other than that the singing is the vocal stylings of Jeff Rosenstock.

BTW the Radiohead covers album is available for free on Jeff's record label. They release their shit for free with an optional donation, funnily enough his site was shut down once for copyright infringements on songs he wrote.

This cover of Nirvana's come as you are is actually pretty good, they try a bit harder

R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio

Such a shock, I had no idea that he was battling stomach cancer. Terrible news to wake up to in the morning.

One of the greatest metal singers of all time and an icon of metal, you will never be forgotten, Ronnie.
