None really from obscurity, all the metal i seem to get into gets shot into mainstream. which pisses me off, half of their charm is that they aren't over hyped.

Here is some good metal, great musicians, great lyracist.
There was word that these guys or Gojira are the supporting act for the australian leg of the metallica tour, i dont know if its true.....

Here is an example of Andy James when his main focus is musicality rather than technique

I love my 80's rock/metal. One band that I grew fond of were Savatage, and I have started to listen to their collection again.

This is one of my favorites from them, Gutter Ballet.

Really can't get enough of Jose` Gonzalez` at the moment, music at it's purist.
Just him and his guitar, yet has an ability to make it sound like 2 or 3 guitars.

I'm listening to Miles Davis's "Bitches Brew" at the moment. Absolutely mindblowingly awesome!

If you have never listened to it, I demand that you listen to it!:p

I demand you post it's youtube so I can listen to it :p

Erm, it's average track length is around about 15 minutes, so it has to be split into different parts on YouTube.

This is the opening track to give you a taste of what is on this album:

If you liked that you can either buy it or download it (legally of course ;)).

I liked that. Really cruisy. Good music with Summer approaching. I can see myself listening to that, chillin out on a Summers night with a cold brew and the sea breeze rolling in.
If you liked that then you have got to check out the entire album; it's fantastic all the way through!

Here's another jazz fusion song, this one is more guitar and rock dominated:

I love the sudden change of pace from 2:50 onwards.:thumbsu:
