Far out it’s actually bullshit at this point. Just make a bloody decision already. It’s not fair on the players, the fans, the candidates, or the recruitment team, how is anyone supposed to make any decisions for 2024 without a bloody coach. Instead of being 1-3 weeks ahead of the eliminated final contenders we’re now behind them and we’ll be behind whoever gets eliminated this week.

Failure to make a decision is probably the biggest business killer. Whatever decision they make is always the right decision it may be later proven to be the wring decision but at the time of making it it’s always the right decision

I think you may have stumbled on why this is taking so long.
Mini has been told Yze has the job, so he has locked and barricaded himself in his office and said he won’t leave until they change their mind.

I think with Gale at the helm, making a decision and sticking with it has never been the issue.

I doubt it’s one here.

As you say, it’s about making the right decision. I’d rather see the club be thorough and ensure that the right coach is selected (and part of this process is getting the right people and structures in place to maximize the chance of success) then see a quick decision just to appease fans which sees us go the way of Carlton, Essendon or Gold Coast over the last few years with a revolving door of coaches.

We have list management experts to deal with list management decisions, and we have time before we need to make them regardless.

This isn’t about next season. This is about the next decade.
