Fair enough, that’s not an unwarranted comment, I put together my response poorly.
It would seem as if Kingsley and Yze had interviewed the week before the final round in 2022.
GWS clearly did due diligence before that. But RFC has done the same thing, (reaching out to certain assistant coaches to apply).
Even with the GWS example the point is still the same. The interview process - when it involves assistant coaches external to a club - doesn’t start when the previous coach leaves but much later in the year.
Even if you wanted an interview process to start two or so weeks out from the end of season, think the club wouldn’t have wanted any distraction for Cotchin and Riewoldt’s last games.
