With McQualter confirming his interview next week, it probably means next week is interview week. you would think we are 2-3 weeks of finding out who the next coach of Richmond.

Newman is my preferred coach new voice & has all the credentials.

I think people are dismissing him far too much, the selection changes he made today shows next year it will probably a lot different to this year.

At the end of the day I’m happy to put what I think aside for whoever they pick and back them in

The next couple of years are going to be rocky with a fair bit of inexperience in the side so I’m going to try and not put a huge emphasis on wins and loss and try and look at those bigger picture goals in terms to how the coach is performing as well

Its not the players being lazy, the new rules ****ed us. Stand rule and 666 ****ed up our chaos ball.

So now we have to crop the players that can't make it and bring in new ones. I still think it's bullshit that Dimma reckons "the message wasn't getting through", more like the players couldn't adapt, and gold coast dangled an irresistible carrot.

This is where the presentations come into play.

What next? How would you coach the side, what is the game plan, what players would you keep? Which ones would you let go? How do you manage a) b) and c)?

Then they will throw in some curly questions.

After that, they decide which way they want to go.

So if Newman is the fav and he says we need to do a mini rebuild of the list, and Yze says we don’t we can win a flag with what we have, it will be what the direction the club thinks.

Which, I think will be a mistake. As I think the club are overrating what we have. The cliff has come, they haven’t realised it yet.

He'll give then the Dimma speech that we are still contending and just need Lynch back, and it's all naive.

I can understand the knockers on Mini as well, in my opinion he probably could have made more selections changes earlier imo been a bit more aggressive, I do think we have played better football under Mini than we did with Dimma earlier in the year but at the same time we have been opened up more. he made some tweaks but it's hard in season to make too many changes to the game plan.

I still hope Newy gets the job though but I'll back whatever decision the club makes. I think it's pretty obvious we are rebuilding to Mini & the other candidates going for the job there is a difference to rebuilding & completely bottoming out like WC & Norf that's what we will be trying to avoid remain competitive but slowly build up the list.

I hate the Bombers as much as anyone but up until about r15 they were comfortably top 6 and looked very likely to play finals. The ass has fallen out of their season but that's not on the assistant coach.
