Why not? All he'd have to do is say my responsibilities end with Melbourne when their season finishes and until that time I am fully committed to them.

We've got 3 senior players out of contract at the moment and it would appear that the plan is to head into 2024 with pretty much the same list and let the new coach have a good look at what they have to work with and then start making changes this time next year.

Melbourne trained at the MCG today and I couldn’t see Yze in any vision or their training gallery photos. Stafford, Goodwin, Chaplin, Chocco and the fitness guy all in vision/images but couldn’t see Yze. Curious but I could be wrong obviously.

Yze was at Punt Rd signing his contract. Announcement early next week.

I want to apologise for my actions and words over the last month

I've had time to reflect and consider the impact it has been having on those around me .....and the pain the hurt and disappointment I've caused destroys me ...

We probably only need to find one assistant coach if McQualter and Clarke are the only 2 to leave as Yze replaces McQualter as the head coach. Wouldn't hurt having Teague and Rutten around as experienced voices for a new coach.

IMHO YZe has the job as if it was Mini there would be no point hanging on for so long. YD has lost wind in his sails and put up a white flag, so the YZe spinicker is pushing him to PRO.

That’s what I’m thinking , timing aligned with a melb campaign and YD days around here are numbered
