Man the conspiracy theories in this thread are nuts. If McQualter gets chosen over Yze or vice versa it’ll be because the club and panel thought whoever gets chosen was the better option, it won’t be because Cotchin and Buckley or whoever got into the boards ear and influenced them maliciously. Lol

It was difficult to read Yze yesterday, perhaps he was annoyed with the media stalking him. Or over the interview process. He had to deal with Melbourne losing and now going through another interview process because the club likes mini. I can't imagine mini being a long term option for us, if we pick him.

Do we really need Buckley's view on our future coach?
Cotch will most likely support Mini.
Cotch publicly supported mini for the job so unsure how they can be objective and unbiased...

Reeks of boys club mentality...

I'm more than happy to be proven wrong

I see that point of view, but perhaps they are seriously considering Yze and just wanted Cotchin’s opinion of him, not if he should be the coach but be there to get a read and see what he thinks.
I’m sure they still really rate Cotchin’s opinion at the club.

Doesn’t mean he would blindly back him after listening to Yze present lol

Now I'm curious to hear Yze's presentation and his plans for the club.
your going to love Yze's effect on the team JackNah_8 as his first change is to introduce a compulsory team half hat policy

My thoughts exactly.

What a load of rubbish that the club would run a sham process just to appoint mini. If he was always going to be coach they would of just appointed him. We are a professional club, not a rabble. Our sash is yellow, not red!

I agree BB. And if they did that, not only would it be totally unprofessional and treating the members and fans with utter contempt, but it would be quite cruel and uncaring treatment of Adem Yze.

I don’t believe they’d do that because that sort of thing would damage the club’s reputation badly.

Cotch has already come out publicly in support of Mini. He should never have been invited to attend. Listening to him yesterday would be like Karen trying to justify Taranto not making the AA squad.

Yep agree that was a poor decision by the club bringing in Cotch.

Agree. What a pointless addition to be fair. Of course he will publicly support his mate of 8 years vs some guy he's probably never met before this process.

We all know before inviting him where his vote would be, therefore he doesn't offer diverse thought or added value. He's a bias input.

At least Buckley comes in with fresh eyes and an impartial opinion.

Cotchin still has a better perspective of Mini as a coach than we do. He knows his relationships with the players, how he handles adversity as well as performance etc

The only perspective we have is performance.

Do you really think Cotch is that shallow.
**** me. How did he manage to lead us to three flags has got me stumped then.

Seems like the list management has already happened?

Word is Trent is pushing for Mini and I only assume Bucks is there to give an outside coach's perspective and the fact he was an interim coach as well.

The hunger from the older players isn't there anymore. We all know players say they always want to win and contend but when you have done it three times or even just once you don't train or strive like you used to. Seen it in the past with many codes as well.

Unless you have a Micheal Jordan character who is a freight train either you are onboard to more championships or your of to go enjoy the paychecks somewhere else
