The problem is the secret is already out, Collingwood & GWS are already playing a variation of our game style, Gold Coast will do the same, we need to think past that and change/tweak our style again, so it beats those teams currently in a purple patch.

We shouldn't be keeping a guy as a coach because he knows our process. You have to come up with a new way and be the next best system, that's how you get ahead of the comp.

Not that I would call Cotch and underling but I would say that perhaps the view of the people that actually work for the manager might sometimes be more insightful than the opinion of the boss they reported too. They are two very different perspectives.

But a triple premiership captain might know a thing or two about footy and coaches? Cotchin will hardly be the casting vote and getting his input makes sense. He’s had a few coaches in his time and knows what players respond to from that perspective, being a recent player and all.
the over reaction on here to him being involved is crazy. And the narrative that Newman thinks we need a full rebuild, where the hell did that come from? Made up nonsense no doubt as I’m sure nobody in here was in the selection interviews, nor would Newman have come out and said exactly his thoughts. if He has, I’d like to see the quote thanks
