Sheedy did when he was under TJ, but he thought TJ was safe for years with our list so he replaced Davis at Essendon in 81. I really believe Sheedy was the brains behind the 80 flag, but that’s how it goes. Sheedy then started playing games with us every time his contract was up as you stated. I really believe in those times he had no intentions in coaching us, but just to to elevate his contract size. Horrible days back then and sadly Sheedy who was one of my favourites as a plAyer has now become sort of despised by me for his greed and lack of respect towards the RFC.

Best thing for us now is a new coach. Keeping Dimma we would continue to go backwards.

No bc he was cooked remember. Minibus has out performed him this season so no great loss. I still rate him as a Dimmer clone and plays safe and not risk taking enough by backing in more kids. I don’t like Carr as his record isn’t that great and he seems like a chest beating arrogant twat. I think I would play it safe with a mini two year deal and look at the landscape afterwards if needed. We can’t lose that much from it if we top him up with some good assistants.

Agree on that , dimma clone in sense of how we play is fine as it’s a winning way , I’d like to think that Blair Hartley will take charge of some assertive list management decisions, as that’s where our improvement will come I expect he will and will be disappointed if we don’t . I’m pretty ok that coach backs the side while he’s gunning for a finals berth , it was when dimma was losing was the chance to intro extra youth and it was dumb beyond dumb that we didn’t . Go mini and get it done
