There serioulsy cant be that many people not know that he RETIRED after rd 22 this year and will be an assistance coach at Richmond.

Wow, a new style of coach !! Richmond are going full cutting edge now .......

Now that we have had some mirth & merriment at the Tigers, I'd like to make a 'real' comment about this appointment.

This is another very smart & strategic addition to the Tigers coaching box and for a couple of reasons.

Lade & Hardwick are both premiership players and therefore know what it takes to get to a GF and then win one. They were both fairly strong & vigourous players in their time (not thugs, just hard at it) and this is something that will be drilled into the Richmond playing list from day one. This is something the Tigers have lacked for many years and I believe it will pay some handsome dividends in a reasonably short time.

The other thing is, this appointment sends a strong message to the Richmond players & the Richmond supporters that the club really means business now.

I'm not saying they will become overnight sensations but at least they are putting in place some real foundations that should reap some certain success.

The Tiges have just appointed Leppitsch to their coaching panel making it three premiership players on their team now.

Hardwick is doing all the right things needed to lay some strong foundations for a climb up the ladder - turning over the list & coaching panel and replacing them with young talented players willing to develop & learn their craft from a group of newly acquired experienced former players who have done it before them.

Watch out, the Tiges will be up and about strongly within the next 2-3 years.

i really hope you are right mate, i already see more being done by hardwick then what wallace did in his time, hardwick is actively out trying to get the best team possible for assistants rather then trying to sell himself to the media and hiring yes men like brian royal.

I made this comment in September of last year and based on the Tigers performances over the past month, they are well and truly on track to be a serious contender on a short amount of time.

There is every chance to be successful if you appoint the right coach and then fill the list with young enthusiastic guys who will carry out that coaches instructions implicitly.

Nice little comments lads, no doubt you were two of the people laying the boots in the Tigers earlier in the season.....

And just for the record, I'd wouldn't have thought that Brisbane supporters would be game to get all lippy right at the moment.

who said anything about getting lippy, well done you made a comment that might be correct what do you want from us all..a pat on the back, 50 cents..what?
