Richmond set to poach Darcy Moore (says Tom Browne)

A bit late to get involved in trading Eddie, if Collingwood weren't throwing cash at TURD like Dayne Beams and that Wells guy who barely played they coulda had a TOMMY LYNCH forward rather that lumbering fu** Mason Cox.
Salary was not a factor in Lynch’s decision. Beams was recruited after he signed with Richmond, and Wells signed a reduced contract for 2019, the season that Lynch hypothetically would have joined.

Eh...we haven't played home games at our home ground since the 60s!!
No need to go as far back as the 60's. The Tigers sold home games to play in Cairns just recently. Once a nomad club, ......
Anyhow, Moore's not going anywhere. It's Pickering with 'Player Management 101' trying to maximise his new contract and wannabe newsmakers like Tom Browne and Jon "Go Tigers" Ralph trying to create a story as usual.

Richmond never sold "home" games to Cairns just games that would've have been shafted to Docklands

Vic Park was in Abbotsford, and Collingwood’s new base is actually considered to be Melbourne.

Best not let you know what suburb the ME Bank, whoops I mean Swinburne Centre is in!

So its either the Media 'creating' a story or the Moore camp hiking up the bidding and looking for an early commitment from Collingwood.

If Moore is after success he is just as likely to be part of premiership success where he is at Collingwood as with any other club. It could happen this year!

Of course he's after success, success breeds value - could you imagine how much he'd be worth after winning a flag? A lot more than what he's on now I imagine.

Same with Degoey, don't be surprised if they both have match winning seasons in a bid to up their value given their last year in contract. Winning a flag or getting a god father offer of all time (depending on what they wish for most) is the side bonus. Even though JDG recently knocked back a big carrot from North doesn't mean he ain't gonna look at upping his value.

So it's fair speculation that someone somewhere from the Moore camp (probably anonymously) 'leaked' a hypothetical in a bid to stir up a media storm in a bid to guess what - up his value.

Of course I'm theorising here and I doubt very much 7 have made this up in their own interest because it's been a slow week story wise on the AFL front, with all the hype of the bushfire game and of course the 'useless' story. I might be wrong.

A third option it's a fake news leak from a non related party, highly unlikely though but not impossible.

Why would you get rid of Eddie if you’re pro ‘old Melbourne’?

He plays the role of the old footy head stoking all those nostalgic rivalries from the 70s/80s suburban VFL footy as he lived them!!

We are both based at the G now, Pies have the city end, Tigers have Punt Road end...bring on R2!!
Shame our home game is rd1 and not rd2 this year, blues already saw our flag 2 years ago so would have been nice for pies fans to get the chance this year.

This move would make sense from Moore’s perspective. Collingwood just can’t get his body right and are notoriously bad with injury management and prevention. Richmond are the complete opposite.

If Moore is driven by money I’m afraid Collingwood will lose him. Richmond are well positioned to offer him a better deal.

Moore might also sense Collingwood’s window is closing whilst Richmond’s is wide open.

Interesting times ahead. I would welcome Moore with open arms. He seems like a gentleman in interviews and strikes me as a “Richmond man”.

Nice theory, but I’m confident Moore’s not going anywhere in the immediate future.
Tom Browne is a click bait aficionado in what has been an uneventful summer of footy news.
And Eddie is just being Eddie, a nice guy, passionate about the sport and the club he loves, but forever crunching the gears when he opens his mouth.
He really must go and get the synapses between his brain and his mouth checked one of these days.

Carry on.

I love it when Tommy boy goes on in! I hope he doubles down to makes things real spicy! I also look forward to the excuse when Moore signs a 5 year deal with Collingwood. Keep going Tommy. Your incompetence is a gift

Being Tom Browne, I assume this means he thinks Richmond are set to place Darcy Moore on a low simmer for four to five minutes.

Story this morning that Melbourne is looking at land in Swan St near the station for a possible new headquarters.
That would be ironic -Melbourne FC being based in Richmond and Richmond FC being based in the City of Melbourne.

No room for Melbourne here. Wollert is pretty empty though.

Your over the top sarcasm in every Richmond thread is great humor and not at all repetitive and bland....

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just convinced by what the Richmond fans have been saying.
