lol I look back fondly on the signal. Holding the ball in the air from a kick-in meant "lets chip it around and shut up shop". It got to the point that as soon as that ball was held in the air, the crowd started booing lmao.
Ah, the memories.

I dunno, you’ve had plenty of shit luck with injuries this year. You’re a different beast when Dixon is fit and you’ve had him in two games all year, two wet games too…

Hinkley has taken you pretty far multiple times and you were a deliberate out of bounds and a freak kick for goal off a grand final in 2020…

I think you should stick with him, you have a really solid group still.

Of course you think that

The absence of Sinn, Bergman, Duursma, Georgiades, Mead and even Williams from our AFL team - be it from injury, form, ability, selection failings - is a big part of our current problem.
It’s interesting that mead gets included in this kind of thing.
He seems to be rated by internal people.
I haven’t seen enough of him but what I have seen hasn’t really impressed me.
I do wonder at times if we have right person running that sanfl side.

I’m honestly not being facetious. You drop him and worst case you end up with a shit hack of a coach like North Melbourne. Sometimes it’s better to back a known (and respectable) quantity and let them tinker, rather than culling and rebooting. We were absolute shit in 2016 and Hardwick rebooted his philosophy and basically the same 22 turned into a dynasty team.

You’re a good side even this season, just started like shit. You will wreck us in Adelaide later in the year. I say back Ken.

Tigers in 2009: Terry Wallace is a known and respectable quantity. We should back him in and let him tinker rather than rebooting. Otherwise we could end up with a shit hack of a coach.

I'm honestly not being facetious. I say back Terry.

Our AFL history was encapsulated in last night's performance.

Lots of highlights and good bits, lots of cluster**** moments, when pressure and expectation are in the air we turn to jelly, structure works for a while - and then it disappears, etc. All in 120 minutes!

Ken is I think a "decent" coach, but not a "great" coach. And I reckon you would need to be a GREAT coach to get our blokes to perform to an expected elite level.

Our blokes bludge too much and accept mediocrity too easily.

We need someone able to make our blokes ruthless, never satisfied with tedious efforts and performances, plus able to be steely willed and good decision makers (and skills executors) when the heat is on in the kitchen.

Who that person is - I really dunno..........

I agree he's a good coach not a great coach.

His time is up and he needs to go but he doesn't deserve some of the shit that gets said about him on here.

You realise he's not doing this for free right? He's getting paid nearly a million a year to do a mediocre job of coaching a football team for a decade.

And because he's part of the boys club/the general expectation that Port is a shit club and is doing well not to be a basketcase, there has been absolutely no pressure on him to perform at any stage in his tenure by club, media or wider supporter base.

At no stage in his reign have we looked like winning a premiership. He has been given an extraordinary amount of time to achieve something, statistically more than almost anyone before him in history, and has failed. In the context of this and the amount of money he has been paid to fail, he deserves the criticism.

Every single player on our team was kicking it like they were drunk. Every player just looked like they got space jam’d when they had to kick inside 50.

.

Because the coach had convinced them Richmond were back to their swarming best so we perceived pressure even when it wasn't there.

Was more referring to the personal non-football related slander that gets directed at him.

Shard to k
There were some abominable kicks going forward tonight. Completely butchered it on multiple occasions with no pressure. Kicks that should’ve resulted in shots on goal ended up in turnovers.

Drew not making the distance from 40m…AFL standard?

Marshall has been consistent and is finally turning his potential into action and is now a solidified AFL player. The only negatives were that he dropped a couple of chest marks and his miss from 20m was a momentum killer.

Houston, Clurey and Bonner were solid!

Personally I would like to see Georgiadis come in for Gray. Very quiet night for Gray and going into the future Gray is not going to be around much longer.

At the end of the day, you’re not going to win AFL games when you score 65 points. Coming into tonight Port were averaging 74 points a game- Not a score that you’re going to be winning games from. Absolute shitshow offensively as per usual. Fix it Ken!!!

Richardson backing in Ken for 2023 was just the cherry on top for a shit night.
So hard to kick forward & find teammates that aren't there

There's a reason he couldn't get a head coach position anywhere else, Port saved him. Our club is going NOWHERE until we rid ourselves of these average performers that neither have the talent or the courage to take us where we belong.
