Dusty didn't sound too confident of playing imo
Channel 7 seem to be hanging outside the medical centre to beat up the injury stories. Last week it was Prestia, I have also seen a few stories about Collingwood that have been the same.
Martin and Houli have a check up, but expected to play. So - no story, it should never have made the news.

I'm actually happy that Hogan has probably beat Rance the last two times

(mind you he has only kicked a combined two goals in both games)

And Rance actually played reasonably well last year. But even breaking even with Rance or just beating him is a big thing for a forward considering how good Rances last four years have been.

Anyway back to my point about being happy that Hogan has "beat" him... Rance is a competitive beast, he will have a point to prove.

Hard to know what to expect this week, they took full advantage of the stagnant gamestyle of the last 3 seasons, but its not what's coming at them this weekend.
It wouldn't surprise me if we win this comfortably given their current form, either way Im confident we'll play well.

Melbourne are really missing Gawn and unless Hogan and Garlett kick bags it's hard to see where the rest of their goals will come from, whereas Richmonds forwards should do enough to get over the line.

Hogan didn't kick a goal last year and we put 20 past you. We had 4 guys average over a goal a game last year (Hogan/Garlett/Kent/Watts) and those four are all on track for the same last year. I'm a lot more worried about both our back 6 and our team defence than I am about our ability to score.

Rance flogged Hogan last year, I'd say over their career it is 1 round each.

Yes...its about how well they prepare for the change in our game plan...will be a great game!

Surely we improve from the performance last year that still had vickery in the forward line, maric rucking, Batchelor in the back line and Townsend through the midfield. Plus one of the more absurd moves of Hardwick's cocahcing career attempting to turn Troy Chaplin as a forward :drunk: The only good thing that parallels from last years game to this one is no taylor hunt.

KB and Raines should have had Brownlows.
Raines got no votes for a bog game.

Umpires have an infamous history with the Richmond Football Club going back decades.

Raines didn't get a single vote for the entire 1980 season. Cheating if ever I saw it.
B & F in a dominant season and not one single Brownlow vote!!

you realise comparing us last year to us this year is completely pointless yeh?

Really? Not sure you understand how the media works. Dusty just has to sneeze and its newsworthy. Richmond is news. Full stop.

More importantly are you guys going to turn up to the game or are we going to have to pick up the slack so we get a decent crowd like we normally do?
