Newsbreak- Confidential papers found in the gutter outside a medical centre contained 1999 pre draft notes of the Richmond Football Club. Included were individual player assessments. Exclusive to BF are some of those transcripts and assessments.

Paul Hasleby - Will go to Freo – Priority pick
Aaron Fiora – Must be our target…GUN…ABSOLUTE GUN. MUST HAVE!!!!!!
Matthew Pavlich – Too fat and nose way too big, can’t take a pack mark and kicking is weak
Joel Corey Too slow and struggles to get ball
Luke McPharlin Can’t mark and looks too much like Phil Michaelson
Darren Glass Useful forward, maybe able to support Richo in bursts… Low pick if still available
Robert Murphy – Too ugly…parents are brother and sister, we already have a few of those.
Brad Green – Nice right foot kick, bit dodgy shooting for goal
Brent Guerra – Nice hair but lacks a decent kick
Adam Hunter – Potential on-baller, late pick
Jonathan Brown - Father son pick and just as well, very overrated
Paul Chapman – Again nice hair but lacks grunt and seems a bit of a receiver
Daniel Giansiracusa – Ordinary disposal but is an in and under player
Leon Davis – Seems like a big game type of player
Mitch Hahn – No heart, suspect over head.
Cameron Ling – Good marketing prospect but terrible kick for goal
David Hille – We already have Justin Charles, no need for another ruckman
Lindsay Gilbee – can’t kick
Corey Enright – Who? Average SANFL player, won’t make it
Chance Bateman – No stamina

2004 draft is quickly proving to be one of the best top 5's ever .. Deledio,Roughhead,Griffin,Tambling & Franklin have all become very very highly rated players .. look at the next 5 williams,lewis,meesen,russel & egan ... out of those 5 lewis is the only one who has become a consistent player ... to say tambling is a waste of a draft pick is simply wrong .. a wasted draft pick is someone who plays for a couple of years in and out of the team and then gets delisted ie. kepler bradley
