I laughed when I read that too.
It's amusing how coaches will say halfway through a season that anything that happened in the first 5 rounds is irrelevant as the game continually changes, yet a win against Hawthorn 2 years ago is "great recent form".

I'm aware of the record, but after the most recent clash was a fairly large thumping the Hawks way, I think it's kind of a stretch to say the recent record has been great. Our recent record against the Dees and Blues has been great and pretty bloody good against the Pies too.
The Tigers have given us some trouble though.
Hawks will beat us imo, still the team to beat for the flag too

Game clear of North and we have been all kinds of putrid most of this year.
defitnely the aim, i do believe the group has enough talent to build into a contender in a few years, we just need more depth, an A grade inside mid and a quick clever small forward
Robbo's just pulling our chain. Probably Whateley too.
Robbo said we were contenders after the Freo win, but was one of the few who tipped WC to beat us.

when they have nothing to lose they can play some great footy but to be in the conversation with swans, freo and hawthorn you have to be more than a good hunter. you have to be good at being the hunted. richmond don't know how to handle expectations of being a good team yet...

The key is to play quality footy 2 weeks in a row and start from there. We know they can beat anyone, anywhere on their day; just need to work on bringing it week in week out. Still a young team so it's understandable they're lacking in consistency, probably a year early to be called a contender based on that.

Pretty sure Adz made the case and everyone told him he's an idiot, but ok.
Maybe they're a bit like North from a few years ago. Can topple top teams, but you can't trust them against weaker sides.
