The words "at our best" sum it up. The Tigers worst is terrible. Unfortunately, in finals football, a team's worst tends to be more important than their best.

Any teams worst is terrible mate. Even Hawthorn or Swans can be putrid on their bad days. It's more about how often a team brings their worst which is our problem. It's fair to say we have brought our worst in every loss this season except Freo (although our goalkicking was awful in that game). We've been in every single game until the last quarter and our biggest losing margin is 36 points. No team has been able to demolish the Tigers at their worst this year.

In some ways I'm so glad the Tigers beat the Hawks. It means people (in particular the media) can stop blowing hot air up their butts, and in the meantime they can...

That is actually a good question.

I would not say who are we better then, that is to simplistic as all teams have injuries, drop in form etc. How will i answer it is this way, at our best, on our best day, our best is better then WC and the Dogs. Now before you or anyone else rants or raves about that, the reason i state that is that the tigers have knocked over both the Hawks and Fremantle, a feat both WC and the Dogs have failed at so far this year.

What if I said it wasn't "your best" that resulted in you beating the Hawks, but them coming off an extremely soft game and being an easy kill? I was at that game and it was far more about the Hawks playing poor footy than you guys exhibiting some incredible level of performance.

Having said that, I have just attributed your win to the other team being poor rather than the Tigs being better than them. I guess that is similar to how you dismiss your lost to West Coast and several other teams, 7 in total is there?

Not sure what your point is, but you can start by looking at who we've beaten so far this season.

My point is how can you be the "5th place team" if you are sitting 6th on the ladder?

Are you 12 or suffer from a case of a total lack of confidence ? I ask not to be smart but to understand your view point. What nonsense is "better than". There is no better outside of three sides, Hawks, Freo and Swans who have had a stranglehold of top 4 and flags in recent years, they are better, but outside of that, no side really from 4th to 13th is better then each other.

By focusing on "better" it screams insecurity. My club is tracking well, young squad and soon, I hope a third consecutive finals appearance a feat not many clubs have done. You must be also stoked as you have managed injuries well and are having a good year.

We can go around in circles all day. You beat us, we beat freo and hawks so you must be "better" then both those sides as you beat us :drunk:

Bottom line, most go of recent form, say the last 3 times you have met. In that bracket, we have shown we can beat any of the top 4 more often then not. WC twice, Freo Twice. Hawks twice and Sydney twice. Does that make WC a inferior side because you cant claim the same ? Nope, you guys are having a good year but just talk to a port fan in how quickly that can turn. Who knows if your form is in some part based on your bottom 4 reward draw ? IMO next season will tell us a lot by a lot of sides imo

Better than means you can perform consistently and win more games than you lose, as well as majority of losses being respectable. There are sides out of the 3 you mentioned who are definitely better than each other, as evidenced by a team such as the bulldogs, ranked 4th, having 6 more wins and 6 less losses than the 13th ranked saints. West coast fans more than know how quickly things can turn, look at 2012-2013, difference now being our consistent performers aren't on the verge of retirement and propping up the younger less consistent players, we now have a far more even spread of contributors, many of whom have not even reached their peak yet. How did you arrive at the conclusion that we have a "bottom 4 reward draw"? We finished in the top half of the ladder last year, and as it stands we play 1st place twice, 4th place twice, equal 8th but 9th by 0.1% twice (who more than likely will be 8th after this round, or even as high as 6th) and then 13th and 16th twice. Your mob plays 1st, 6th, 11th, 15th and 17th twice. I know which draw I would prefer.
