The problem with that is Frampton might have a good game this week. If he kicks 3 goals and takes a few grabs then how can he be left out?

That's why it's so important to take opportunities when they present themselves
Yep I agree

I can't see us making two changes to htes ide that won on the weekend. We know MacKay will be straight back in, but I expect Frampton to get another go. Plus, if we do make a change, Berg and Fog were both emergs last week, so I suspect they are both head of RT.

Mackay was only in because Brown and Kelly weren't.

Plus a 1 week hamstring......

Billy doesn't really deserve a go, but he'll probably get 1 more. If we don't think Riley has done enough, give Worrell a crack forward.

I don't really see the issue with him potentially coming in and having a poor game. Plenty of players have come in, got a taste, done very little, and then come back later in the year or even the next year, better for the run.

I still remember Sloane getting one match in his debut year and not getting a single kick, then hitting the ground running next year. Similar story with the likes of Dangerfield, Otten, etc, did little to nothing in their first couple of matches, but then came back a year later ready to go. Hell, Jonathan Brown was talking about having a mare in his first couple of matches during commentary the other day.

It's only an issue if we build him up to the point where he absolutely has to perform immediately or else he's a bust, and that is only likely to happen if we hold him back from playing forever. Or, if he's the kind of player who will take every stumble to heart, which Thilthorpe doesn't strike me as. Richard Tambling was the exception in that regard, not the rule.

The club was very clear that they viewed him as essentially ready to play, but wanted to take a slow approach to introducing him given his age and the pick he was taken at. This is a golden opportunity, bringing him into a winning side against a low-rated team, with our second tall forward out of form and no other KPFs knocking the door down at SANFL level. Bring him in and make it clear to him in advance that it is intended to just be a taste and that he will likely return to the SANFL within a few weeks unless he performs out of his skin. Set the expectations accordingly and let him experience life in the big leagues.

Eff yeah!! I get to see his debut :)

Been waiting 8 years for some advantage to living down here.

I mean yeah, we have been living COVID free for months .. and I guess there is the clean air and water ... also the lack of traffic ... and the fishing and camping ... and the good food and cider ... the simpler life ... and the small number of Power supporters.

But apart from that, what have we had to cheer about down here?

Thrillthorpedo - you beauty!

Ben Davis likes this.

Seriously though, it's very exciting and hopefully the ball can be delivered well enough.

And in 10yrs time when he is one of the greatest players of all time (one can only dream) you can say you saw him play his first game!

I won't be able to watch it though, will be at the GF rematch between WWT and NA, I'll just have to watch the replay to see how he goes.

South Australians making fun of Tasmanians ... love it. Always find SA residents a BARREL of laughs. Amazed that you can keep a sense of humour seeing you live in dust bowl truck stop that gets it water from the end of a salty sewage pipe. But yeah, I don't know any SA people that appear inbred ...
