Not to be flippant but why is he worth four years at $500k then? Pretty hefty offer for someone not worth much with a troubled past who will be 31 by the end of the deal.Sorry for the intrusion, I come in peace.
Just on the Rioli situation, I'm struggling to understand why he would be worth more than a 3rd rounder? If we look at the facts in regards to his history with suspension due to drugs, the limited amount of games played and goals kicked over his career coupled with his age I just don't get it?
Can someone explain his worth to me?
No
Pick 14,24,33 and our future first (12)
Got Kelly, 52 and Geelongs future 3rd (53) back
I'll give you a clue . It's the same reason you are willing to pay him 500k x 4years .Sorry for the intrusion, I come in peace.

Because your club sticks it’s dick into anything that moves and in Rioli case he’s a NFA so you need to trade for him or the Eagles can let him walk . It’s not that hard to understandSorry for the intrusion, I come in peace.

I mean once his career is over and those events like premiership reunions and etcAn uncontracted player leaving and then being picked up again by the same club. The AFLPA would get involved you'd think.
Reported offer, how do we know that's factual? Not to be flippant but why is he worth four years at $500k then? Pretty hefty offer for someone not worth much with a troubled past who will be 31 by the end of the deal.
I understand the concerns at face value given his history, but Port’s reported offer doesn’t line up with the high risk reclamation project narrative.
That and the fact the Eagles openly wanted to re-sign him and have committed to him in more ways than one over years, why would they be inclined to accept a lower offer?
It would be seen as an uncontracted player exercising their right to leave a club only to be drafted back to the same club, I know a player chooses to go into the draft/PSD but it would absolutely be seen as something untoward and I imagine some people and groups would have to get involved.

Reckon Dark Sharks cat Mr Marbles could out ruck baileyB Williams is the second best ruck his age or younger after Jackson.
Well, I often wonder if this is the type of trade set up that is sorted off the record making the initial swaps look odd. Its looks ok for us even though speculative. How about 33 & 43 for Junior? We then trade 33, 38 and 43 to Brisbane for pick 15 (they gain about 300 points assuming I did that calculator thing correctly). We loose Junior + 38 for pick 15. This leaves us with 2, 15, 20 and 26.
We don’t specifically, but it’s hardly going to be miles off the case. All we have to go on is the fact the Eagles wanted to keep him, there have been no reports of the Eagles lowballing him, Port are actively pursuing him, and Rioli stated he wanted to get himself set up financially so let’s not pretend he’s volunteering his time out of good faith.Reported offer, how do we know that's factual?
Your lack of cognitive ability is noted.Sorry for the intrusion, I come in peace.

No way would Brisbane take later pick for a 1sr round. Like us those late picks mean nothing. That's a horrible trade and no one gives a crap about points when it comes to picks in the 30s.How about 33 & 43 for Junior? So with Port after JHF and now having sold their pick 27 to Melbourne, they have no way of trading picks for Rioli.
Here it is - Powell Pepper for Rioli.
I'd do it and give them our R5 to sweeten the deal
I'd play him half forward not midfieldGod I’d hate that, Powell-Pepper will just block our young draftees from getting midfield time
He would only block those he is better than.God I’d hate that, Powell-Pepper will just block our young draftees from getting midfield time
If we didn't budge at anything more than 27, on what planet do you see spp being up for grabs lol, he is worth a lot more than 27.So with Port after JHF and now having sold their pick 27 to Melbourne, they have no way of trading picks for Rioli.
