The home and away season has come and gone, now it is time to see which rookies performed the best on the qooty field. Firstly we are going to look at the 4 players that will fill the final spots on the rookie gun team for season 32.
Final 4 spots
Brunswick Trap King

Was on the gun nominee list 4 times this season, including 3 of those back-to-back-to-back in an incredible display of consistency. Averaged just under 14.5 disposals per game as well as kicking 1.5 goals per game. On-field* Brunswick was the best possible player a club could hope for.*on-field does not include off-field (I will touch on this a little later on)

Also on the gun nominee list 4 times, soggy was very unlucky to miss out on a GunNomTM this season. After moving to the centre position, soggy played as well as anyone, averaging 73 DT and 21 disposals per game. Was better overall throughout the season than some of the other players already on the gun team, so it is an easy call to make to put soggy in the team.

Was overlooked 4 times throughout the season on the gun nominee list, but has finally been rewarded for a great debut season. Started at half-forward and remained there for the entirety of the season. Averaged over 13 disposals and 1 goal a game, Snuff was a great asset to the Warriors forward line. A worthy addition to the S32 rookie gun team.

Another very unlucky player to have been on the nominee list 4 times yet didn't come out with a gun nomination. Terrybull's nominees however were far more spread out with their first occurring in round 3 and their last in round 13. Kicking just over a goal a game for the season, terrybull was a versatile asset for the Bears who was used just about everywhere on the qooty field. A great asset for any team especially one as inexperienced as the rookie gun team.

Now onto the top 3 and winner of the Rookie Gun of Season 32To remind everyone of the rules: For a player/poster to be eligible for winning the rookie gun award they must have won a GunNomTM during the season and played all home and away games during the season (this season was 16 games).
First lets look at the poster that should've won the S32 gun of the season award, but was too lazy to post in match threads in order to get a GunNomTM
Brunswick Trap King
Was a deadset gun on the half forward flank for the Fighting Furies. Best Half Forward in the competition and would've been a shoe in for the rookie gun award if he just posted in match threads during his good weeks, and there were plenty of chances so he has no one to blame but himself. It's just disappointing to see such a great on-field rookie season go to waste.
3RD
krakouers85

Missing out on 2nd place by just 13 dreamteam points is krakouers. Being one of the fast-starting rookies, krakouers got out early in the season to achieve a gun nomination in just their second game. Even more impressive is that krakouers was able to maintain and even improve on their performances as the season went along. Gathering 21.8 disposals per game and acquiring the most marks of any player this season is a great feat for a rookie in their first season. If krakouers improves on their skills over the off-season then the competition better watch out.
2ND
Bluelegs
View attachment 1287716
Just beating krakouers by the smallest of margins, Bluelegs finishes 2nd in a brilliant debut season. Gathering over 22 disposals per game is very impressive for anyone to achieve over an entire season, but to do it in your debut season is even more so. Bluelegs was able to equal the highest disposals getter this season (spookism ) as well as tackle more times than anyone else on the wing with 32 tackles (2 per game). Bluelegs was everywhere on the field and has a massive motor to run all game long. Very stiff to just miss out on the rookie gun by a very small margin, but he still has to be applauded for a fantastic debut season.

The Winner of the Season 32 Rookie Gun is Cats underscore R underscore... god why is this name so long? Anyway, Cats had a tremendous season on the half-forward flank. Her stats were off the charts, gathering 13.8 disposals per game and kicking over 1 and a half goals a game. She was also a massive aerial threat to the opposition, grabbing 5 marks a game. One of the most damaging forwards in the competition this season and a worthy winner of the Rookie Gun.
Congratulations Cats_R_Cool_4_Ever

Finally, well done to @DockerDen5215 - it was not that long ago that you were a rookie yourself.
There is a Rising Star committee supporting DockerDen5215 and GREENESHOOTS in S32.DockerDen5215 is running the Rising Star, so that was… (check notes) last season!
