That's right.

The season is still going and we have a match today; vs Carlton at that happy Saturday afternoon hunting ground, the MCG.

According to Don's recent press conference we are in the 8. That can't be right, can it?

We have dropped some of our older/slower players but have somehow lost pace. Fortunately that won't be a factor on the close confines of the G.

Tyson Stengle is playing but no other things of note are happening.

A win gets us Noah Anderson who I'm reliably informed would light up our SANFL team.

High stakes.

One thing I do know about this group is that they usually seem to find a way to save their skins and protect their pay packets.

Just the kind of game that they’ll come out and win easily. Forget the last month.

Load up for the next poor performance

Funny how we’ve been enthusiastic on the Carlton games this year, and the responses so far suggest there is a global disinterest in this game, a Crows v Carlton, out of all games.

Come on guys, get some positivity into the day and send some positive vibes to the club and cheer the **** up!

And if you really seriously can’t find any form of enthusiasm upon waking up, here are some reasons to smile if we come out on top tonight:
- one foot closer to confirming our Finals participation (preferably with a good win where extra percentage would be much appreciated)
- one foot closer to land pick 2-3 next year
- our last game at the G before the Finals in 2019, the ground where will play again if we are still fair dinkum.
- we owe the blues vengeance for the recent player trades in Menzel and Gibbs (unless Gibbs gets his act together)
- SOS is our number one archenemy, we must not forget this (at least in these last few years)

What if we lose though? Well there’s still a positive - we would surely know where we stand in the pecking order and....the next 4 rounds, load of up on them kids! Fog, Berg, Davis, Jones, Gooch, Polhoke, Butts, Ned...come on down!

Carn’ Crows!!

If we lose there is no chance we load up with the kids you’ve mentioned, none.

The problem with losing is they won't play the kids even if we are no hope of playing finals.

I will be watching the SANFL and checking in on fiveaa during the breaks for the AFL score. If we have a good match I will hit record at 4:00pm as I leave for AO tonight with the Port supporting wife.

Four positives I’d like to see:

- a Crows win
- no injuries (for either team)
- Stengle to play a blinder and basically declare “I belong here. Don’t ever drop me again”.
- Wilson to play well and, as another new face (with Stengle), inject some passion into what has become a seemingly stagnant playing group.
