They will have to change that sign above them to "End of the road" while they drive out in the last ford built down in the ghost townImagine how shit Geelong will be once those 6 go and its left up to Guthrie and Motlop et al
Yes BT, I reckon Doc Larkins is full of shit. Bris dog out
I think he's the first thing we need.
We need someone with pace with the potential to break a line. Not sure if he's it, but the season is decimated by injuries and we are on the brink, why not try him? Not a lot to lose.
Norf (the ****ing horrible, loathesome, scum sucking, putrid shitstains that they are) may be tall up forward but that leaves them vulnerable to pace on the break.
Yeah it is a bit annoying.Anyone else find it REALLY annoying that you can't hear the questions in the pressers?
I'm sadly in total agreement with this. We are setting the bar pretty low though and it's a little worrying when we start to think I'm really happy with our medical team not sending out our injured players to get further injured, kind of puts their performance over the past two seasons now into perspective.Ive been a massive massive critic of them but I'm happy macrae didn't go back out. So well done for that
That Clay tackle on Selwood though. One of the things I took out of last night was that Geelong's tackling techniques were generally ahead of ours. The number of times we had them lined up but allowed them to get handballs away was annoying. Perhaps its a strength thing?
In saying that Boyd and Morris were out and they are probably our two strongest tacklers along with Libba who played less than half a game. Still, we need to work on it no doubt.
Loved it, got me excitedThat Clay tackle on Selwood though.
Same thing last week, our tackles were ineffective... It has a lot to do with the difference in body size imo, both the Saints and Cats were bigger which begs the question why?? If you look at the other teams in the 8 our mids are a lot smaller (weight/muscle wise). One of the things I took out of last night was that Geelong's tackling techniques were generally ahead of ours. Never expected to win that game and I'm proud of the boys effort but this year is over for us as a team, I don't recall any team, any year being so crippled with injuries. It's really heartbreaking
That Clay tackle on Selwood though.
Beveridge's press conference last night was simply outstanding.
Congratulations on picking up the win to honour important milestones for two absolute champions of your club, both very highly respected players who nobody would have a bad word for.Now it's all clear I want to say how admirable your club's effort was last night. Can't fault them one bit, hard to take any sort of pleasure from that kind of win. Libba's ankle was a real tipping point. Not sure what happened in our previous match, but there was no way it was an accurate reflection on the state of our teams.
I know it sucks reading this from opposition posters sometimes, but on balance your boys must have a whole heap of good luck coming their way in the future, and with the side you're building and the way you play I think/hope the ultimate may be within reach.
5/6. He played in loss to Cats at Etihad. When Moyd comes back we'll start winning again
6/6 losses under Bev without Moyd now
I'm more in the game style camp, we play a very taxing/physical brand and it has to take its toll somewhere. It would be nice if we could put sides away a little easier/earlier.Does anyone think the sheer number of games in a row at Etihad at the start of the year could have impacted on our injuries?
You constantly hear about how hard the surface is and you would think it takes more time to recover from that ground. Just thinking with the sheer volume of injuries maybe it was a contributing factor. Yet then again a lot of injuries have been impact ones
And Picken's goal saving one in Menzel. That Clay tackle on Selwood though.
