People concerned about our forward line need to relax. IMO McKay Kerr & TDK have real potential. It's just time and experience. People were questioning Joe Daniher a year ago and last year he finally started producing. 23 years old and 80 games.
Add Silvagni and maybe his brother plus a kid names "Charlie". It's all potential but in 2-3 years we will be very happy. Problem will be fitting them all in

yeh if they think we can play charlie mckay casboult all together then it doesnt matter as much
i never paid attention to mullett at the roos. last week his zip and flare surprised me. what is the knock on him? must have been a reason that the roos let him go. imo they have the worst list in the league by far so its surprising they would make such a rash decision

From what i can understand is they had too many of his type of player but not sure if there is more to it.

I don't think he ruptured his Achilles.
When that happens it's looks like they have been shot and need to be carried off.
It's also a very rare injury.

I think this year the only two backmen worth trying (again) up forward (and maybe only as swingmen), would be Jones and/or Rowe (form/fitness allowing). I'd like to see Marchbank and Weitering settle down back for the time being, but in future years when their bodies mature a little more maybe both could be given a go up forward.

I'm suggesting Marchbank because of his mobility and that we'll need that 2nd key defender for the Suns.
Of all the parts in the defensive structure for him to step into, I'd say Marchbank and Plowman's roles are the easiest, especially when you consider how advanced up the field Marchbank was against Richmond; he was basically rotating with Simpson.
Agility is a bit below average for his role, and he seems to try and play taller in pack situations to zero advantage. Defensive positioning is poor, while not really offering that much in the way of run and carry as a midfielder. Think Seedsman, but less physically imposing.
Seems to be a player who gets the ball, runs his measure when allowed it, then kicks. If he had some evasion about him, he'd be a terrifying winger, but he doesn't.

GCS going in the game with two talls and four smalls in their forward line.
I am enjoying the depth in our key tall backs but cant play them all at the same time.
2 talls + plowman + 3 smalls is what is required.
Would not play Weitering nor Jones in the forward line so need to try Marchbank there, I think.

Weitering hasnt all of a sudden lost his smarts- he’s likely to position himself in good spots and kick 3 if he’s forward (I’ve been trying to find a market on Sportsbet where I can back him to do just that!)
