Bad luck about Jack, surprising call up with Lang just always seemed to be battling physically in games which possibly could have been eating away with his confidence... Like a few have posted, his game was poor in a physical sense that he seemed to apply not much of the pressure acts he was in the team for, many of his games we’re pretty average ... Seems his selection might be on the back of him finally being totally injury free and showing it in training, if that’s the case good luck to him and if he can play his role for us well then that’s a bonus for the club... would have loved one of Willo or Philp as the ins...

Not sure what they see in Lang.To me he along with Polson are our deck chairs.Surely Kennedy or Willo should’ve got a run.

Polson, must have fainted when they gave him an extra 2 years

For Philip to come in, and us still play a balanced side, one of Cuningham, Martin or Betts would most likely have to be omitted.
Gibbons and Newnes are part of our midfield rotation, and I expect Lang might be too (just as JSOS occasionally is). Again, he’s almost certainly going to be our defensive forward. It’s waste having Martin or DC in that role.
Philip and Kennedy would be annihilated by Lever. Remember, in form he’s close to the best intercept rebounder in the league.
Williamson is a Wingman/HBF. His time will come. I’d rather he play in his natural position than be shoe-horned into the team.

this is close to the most balanced line-up we’ve had in years.

Bolton played too young and Teague gone too far the other way it seems. Still gotta give the kids a go. I'm presuming he wants to get a few wins to ease pressure and before blooding kids and hoping experienced bodies gets it down.

Give it a month before you make that statement...it is 1 player willo

I don't mind Lang's inclusion....pressure forward for pressure forward. It does show how valuable Jack has now become in our side though.

Not sure right now if there's a need to bring in a player like Philp or Willo at this late stage, if we need to shuffle our side around to accomodate.

I'm more than happy to give Lang the chance....who knows, he may even perform his role.

Gov, Harry, and Cas are already tall and we could potentially rest Cripps forward when he needs a break.

With Martin and Betts already in the forward line I think it will help Langs game.

Get him delivering the footy, his disposal can be good. We just haven’t seen it in navy

We have some serious run and decent speed in this named 22

Teague continues to show he will play more experienced players, compete contrast to Bolton

At some stage we need to play best available/ middle ground

Having said that, don't mind the lineup
What happened to the 5 year plan and rebuild. Now we're playing recycled players like Newnes & Lang? Limited youth coming through or given opportunity is a big concern in the long term. No way did Lang deserve a game. Done nothing in three years. What happens if we lose this week? Cats in Geelong next week. Do we start playing the kids? What is the club strategy for our next premiership?
