I despise the fact Aaron Joseph keeps getting a game, his skills are a joke and he is a pussy(I have seen him pull out of many a contest this year).

ALL I CAN SAY IS THE HE MUST GIVE BRETT RATTEN THE GREATEST BLOWJOBS KNOWN TO MANKIND IN ORDER TO GET A GAME.
He is a joke and should be delisted at the end of the year if we are serious, he would not get a game in any other team including GWS next year.

The only joke around here is you sunshine:thumbsdown:

mods how does this tool not earn a card?

Report post button is your friend! ;)

It is fine to have an opinion on a player even negative but make it reasonable and mature without resorting to petty rubbish that only incites bickering and resorting to posting about blow jobs to get games is not on as you all mostly know!

Nice work. What do the different colors of the report post button mean?

Edit, never mind, I got it. Thanks

Just to make it more visible for posters. :thumbsu:

Some serious outs for melbourne there. Having that been said, they have some serious ins as well. However, I really do think that with Jamar out, we should smash the hell out of them in the clearance work. You can at least guarantee that Ratts won't stand for us to be beaten in the clearance week two weeks in a row.

Also, I have to share the sentiments of a few others as well in questioning the inclusion of Joseph. I honestly don't think he adds ANYTHING to the team at all. I know that seems a bit strong on a bloke that's only played two games thus far, but we don't seem to move the ball as fluently when he's in the team. Will happily eat humble pie though, and hope he proves me wrong.

Also, Houlihan out again. Just can't hold his spot. Will be 30 years old by next season. Is his best past him and/ or is his time sadly done at the Carlton Football Club?

Think it will be Carlton by 52 points.

History says that teams who lose by record margins come out firing the next week. We won't win by 52 points. The game is going to be so much closer than that. I'm still convinced Carlton will win (Jamar out certainly helps) but we will need to put on a very good performance to do so. Another excellent premiership quarter should bury them. Apparently we are 80ish goals to 20ish summing up the 3rd quarters over the last 10/11 weeks. :)

As for AJ, he's still young and has never been a weekly squad member since 2009. His 18 possession shutdown role on Gia a few weeks ago was very good, and definately one of our better players that night. Just because we lost that game doesn't make it his fault.

I think it may very well be one of those games where the scoreboard wont necessarily reflect the game. I expect them to be competitive for 2.5-3 quarters before running out of legs. I think after then, it could very well blow out to anything from 36-60 points, really.

I'm not an AJ fan but he's a honest player, probably a likeable bloke and a hard worker. We have injures and he is getting a game and we will beat Melbourne although expect them to play the game of their season this week.

people should stop whinging when we are forced to use depth players and a respectable one gets a game.

I might have lent more towards Lucas but the club knows where he is at more than I do. Guys have to earn a game this season which is good. No getting a game because fo your fittness and name.

Joseph is a fine depth player. deal with it.

Think we have this game in the bag. They are just too weak player-wise.

I'm sure they will win the dirty play count but not much else aside from that!

Time for Mclean to step up his mongel and give us something to appreciate!

Please play Joey as a tagger on a midfielder. That's how he's best suited. Ever since they've tried to make him into a small defender he's been terribly average.

Ellard can do the grunt work under the packs with Brock.

Army was great V the Dons and it'd be good to see him freed up to use him as a weapon.

Joseph should go back to where he plays his best footy.
the ants? AJ's last game for blues was OK
I would love a late change and see sugar in but just don't think he is ready

As I previously said Guns, I don't rate him at ALL as a pure small defender. But I do think he is a very good midfield tagger. That's where he started and did so well. Don't see Cameron Ling or Kane Cornes or Steven Baker playing as small backs too often do we?

Let Joey play the role he is best at and the rest will take care of itself.

Where is Irish in all of this???? We are screaming for a tall forward who can take a grab and smash packs..and we have one who is waiting in the wings ready to go...and we are not playing him....perhaps he is the one that is going elsewhere next year?

Armfield to Davey sounds good...Predicting Davies to sub, AJ to shut down on one of their small forwards, Jetta?

Robbie and Kreuze have a real chance to dominate the ruck, we need to get first hands to the ball.

Melbourne will come out swinging harder than Andrew Galota after the week they have endured.

No doubt they would have learned a bit about us and will employ the same tactics as used by North Melbourne (ie. going extra hard at the contest). Sadly, I truley beleive that had we have played North at the MCG last week we would have blown them away with the run and spread of our quality outside midfielders, so I doubt it will have any trouble in taking apart Melbourne's midfield.

They have been known to lift against teams that they match up well on - but I think overall we have the superior outfit so we should do away with the Dee's fairly easily if we are any chance of being a top 4 contender.
