So Levi and Charlie in the same side. Interesting move if it happens. We really are giving up speed for this match, but then it’s not like it’s led us to wins and the possible ins - JSOS, Kennedy and Charlie - would be great so I’m fine with that. Though I expect a number of we are too tall and too slow posts.

Hmmn, we need to select four players from the following list.

If all perfectly fit, Kennedy, Newman and Curnow would be locks I would say. With the final spot tossed up between LOB and SoS. However, I have a feeling Curnow might just be selected in the hope he gets up for the game. Note all of McKay, McGovern and Levi are still in the squad.

My preferred bench is below but have a feeling that LOB plays and Curnow misses.

You'd have to think Charles won't be playing if Cas has been named in the starting 18, unless Gov isn't 100%

What if we recruit a player, who was a mid as a junior, because we see traits that would make an elite defensive runner?

I would say the recruitment process would be a hellva lot more holistic than how good his defensve run is but that particular trait would be ideal for a mid these days anyway.

There will always be players that can play multiple roles but I would be recruiting a mid to be a mid.

Why Newman?

11 turnovers and terrible defensively. So as a defender he had a bad game and the 11 turnovers suggest he wasn't so flash on the rebound.

I'm just thinking maybe the coach makes a bit of a statement/ surprise move. His role is the one Stocker has been playing in the VFL

Pretty confident Charlie plays. Called it last week he probably only misses a week. Would love to see Stocker get a game otherwise he won't be playing twos again if traveling emergency.
