Good first first 5mins. Gcs controlled the next 1.25 qtr. Carlton shored it up and had chances to take control on the scoreboard. Gcs kick one against the run of play.

Cripps injured, H looks to have a broken nose, Witts giving TDK a bath.

We getcclearances sorted, we have half a chance.

honestly think we are better off playing 1 extra mid with no ruck against witts. tdk is a genuine waste of space against him unfortunately.

Unless we start negating Witts we will have no chance, either but beating him in the ruck or hard tagging Miller and others at the ruck contest we will not win.

Gold Coast have so many weapons around the ground. Luko playing as a high half forward is a masterstroke.

Witts, Miller, Rowell, Anderson is a great midfield group.

Collins, Ballard are a couple of great posts down back.

Yeh we are playing badly, but the Suns are capable.

Obviously a pretty poor half. 2nd half is perfect opportunity for the midfield to actually prove that they are one of the best in the comp even without Cripps. Walsh and Kennedy both pretty poor thus far - need to get better.

Also as an aside, it is so obvious that only Lynch is at the game, and he is doing a terrible job of being a boundary ump. Doesn't seem to be paying any attention at all.

Even in the 1st qty Cripps couldn't get into it.

We didn't have Walsh rd 1, Cerra rd 2.

Not having Pitto is having far more an impact over anyone else...normally our mids can rely on him to win or at least halve the ruck contests so they can get on the move and do their thing...but with Witts dominating TDK, our mids aren't sure where to go.

We've given up about 3 goals already directly from Witts getting a clear tap or taking it out of the ruck.

I know Jabba haha, I mean our transition out of D50 was so clunky, Newman had so many scrubby kicks and we turned it over a lot forward of centre. I mean great that we won the quarter just not convinced in performance

We’re only 14 points down and playing about as bad as we possibly could.

Voss needs to give them a good old fashioned spray at half time.

Need to improve in the contested ball & clearances and then we can get back in to this game.

They've completely relaxed the HTB rules.

Don't get me wrong, Suns are playing out of their skins. I knew their midfield would thrive off Witt with no Pitto, but does anyone know the rules anymore?
