Road to the Finals

What’s our best outcome for today? Hawks get spammed and Adelaide beat the Dogs?

I assume so.

Without trying to do anything too drastic to work it out, I can only imagine we need Carlton, Hawthorn and the Dogs to lose 2 of their last 3 games.

And we need Essendon to lose another, and Freo to lose both of their games would be a good result also.

I'm not sure if we need all of those results to happen. They're unlikely.

Also dont want hawks to make finals.
Making our 2nd round pick worse and worse lol
Doing the ladder predictor and Carlton will finish top 4 if they win all 3 games.

West coast over there
St kilda at Marvel. Both very winnable.

They need to lose today!

They do
Hawks have richmond and north next two weeks lol
If only we had that kind of draw to end the season..

We still alive people.

Carlton couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag at the moment.

You hate to see it.
Surprising, considering how much experience they have with paper bags.

What we can control:
-We win out (or even draw v Bris)

What we can't control:
-Carlton lose or draw 1 of their next two
-Freo/Ess dropping their next two

Other than that what looks most likely with WB and Hawthorn winning out, Freo + Essington dropping their last two genuinely doesn't look out of the question - the equation looks pretty simple with that aside.

Would result in the glorious scenario where we keep Blues in 9th while sneaking into the finals ourselves :tearsofjoy:

We need to get above Doggies and Freo. Carlton won't drop both games to Stk and West Coast.

We need North to upset the Dogs next week.

I think you really underestimate a team trying to play spoiler. Is Curnow out for them next week playing over in Perth? Game on. Ross Lyon will cherish the chance to make an impact on the finals - of course only once his team's been eliminated from them :tearsofjoy:

GWS seems more likely than not to handle Freo at Sydney Showgrounds, the real 50/50 will be Port playing them over in Perth but I'd back Kenny Donuts to pull something out of his arse.

As shown we don't need to get above Doggies, have them winning the rest of their games in the above prediction (even today's though they trail by 4.5 goals at HT). They could very well drop that R24 game vs GWS in Ballarat.

11. COLLINGWOOD (10-9-2, 100.1%)

To play:
Brisbane Lions at the MCG, Melbourne at the MCG

Best case: Finish 6th by going 2-0 AND Western Bulldogs, Fremantle, Hawthorn and Carlton go 0-2

Worst case: Would miss finals by losing once

Their premiership defence is effectively over - ironically, ending when a team stormed home to win by a kick. That’s because even though they can reach 13 wins, which typically guarantees you a finals spot, their percentage is poor and the teams above them just have too many wins in the bank. Their best hope might actually be catching Fremantle now - the Pies can pass any of the Dockers, Blues or Hawks if they go 0-2, but the Blues and Hawks have two games left against bottom-six teams, while Freo plays GWS away and hosts Port. Of course the problem is they need to pass two of those teams, and that feels unrealistic. We can’t officially rule them out just yet though.

Fox Footy’s prediction: Go 1-1, finish 11th at 11-10-2

We had our big chance and failed, the season is over. Pendles and Howe won’t play the last two games, Sidey will announce his retirement this week. Lock it in.
Don’t you ever get sick of posting lies?
Such a massive troll on this board for so long.

Carlton won’t win another game for the year.

Possible that Freo and Essendon are the same
Carlton will definitely struggle despite the easier opposition. They’re out of form and now also copping their fair share of injuries.

Freo have two tougher games. Probably the most difficult run home given the travel from Perth. GWS and then Port.

Essendon have Sydney and Brisbane. Don’t see them winning either.
