What were you saying at HT? Buddy had 3 touches, 1 goal and we were up by 5 goals. Unfortunately we coughed up 5 goals from free kicks and Bolton/Nank/Grimes gave away goals from Ill-discipline. That cost us the game, not Gibcus on Buddy.

I'm still bemused how a genuine top 4 side is going to struggle to make the eight. Time to get Caracella back to PRO as Dumma is going to fxxk it all up again.

Off the top of my head 4 goals that we gave up that we really could've avoided. Nank stupidly giving away the down the field free at the end of the 3qtr, Gibcus kick backwards and missing Baker who then under-pressure handballs to Rioli who also under-pressure slips and the Swans walk it in, Tarrant uncontested going the fist instead of marking and completely missing the ball, Swans walk it in for a goal and finally the Hayward mark (dropped) on the line where he poked it through despite 2 Tigers going up with him and unable to kill the ball. Now it is still too simplistic to say we don't concede those and we hang on, because you don't know what happens if behinds are scored instead. Could be turnovers from the kick-ins etc.

Plenty of people going on about the final play but there are 4 goals that we really shouldn't concede. Okay you may concede 2 of them because errors happen but to give up all 4 is poor and cost us ultimately.

Our 3qtr cost us, and specifically the 2nd half of the 3qtr we where 5 goals up and peppered them with I50's but couldn't punish them. Swans then get a run (with some assistance from the above incidents) and they are back.

I honestly thought we did well to turn the final term into an arm wrestle, when it felt like the Swans would overrun us. Never the less still a disappointing loss, especially with the 33 point lead, I'm sure the players will hate to sit with the result for the next 2 weeks until we play again.

He literally threw the ball in the direction of the player immediately, if he turned to look and then threw it, it would have taken longer. You know, if common sense was applied no 50, but we know common sense doesn’t apply.. wait but why wasn’t 50 paid at the end? Common sense WTF you inconsistent campaigners!

And the rot started with that silly throw he did then Bolton did what he often does with another 50 and they came from then. Graham doesn’t get the pill enough but he’s ten times the player of JR and 100 times the player of 11.

But Daniel Rioli and Dan Butler were tossed out of the side if they ever came up with what Castagna's been doing and they played in the same role as him during our Premiership years. Why is there just no competition for Castagna's spot with the likes of Cumberland still in the VFL when he performs like that? We get why Lynch, Dusty, Grimes, and Prestia's spots are secure, but why is he included as well?

Maybe Castagna will play like a better version of himself if he feels like his spot is in jeopardy. Sometimes competition is needed to maximise output and that is what I think he needs.

Castagna isn't the issue. The issue is the coaching and selection panel. Just cause Castanga is doing the team things that warrant a spot doesn't mean he should be getting a game on that alone, that does nothing for him in terms of him being able to get back to his best. A week or two finding the ball in the two's could help when he does return, a week or two with Cumberland or Stack in the senior team could be the difference in a game like today, giving the opposition something new to think about, throwing a spanner in the works to their game plan.

The roles he plays and position he plays is very unrewarding. Especially in a game like today where there is limited space, shocking conditions and a lack of structure.

Come finals time with a full complement of players, we can get away with having players like Castagna simply playing his role. If he has a good game disposal/goals wise it a bonus but it more important he does the things he is in the team for. But during the home and away season it's the time to get the best out of him, develop others in the event he is struggling and find the right balance between having the best team out there and having the most talented team out there. We can't have a full complement of superstars, someone has to do the dirty work which is why he is in the team but sometimes doing that dirty work wears you down, which is the situation he finds himself in at the moment.

I don't think competition has anything to do with it. It's not a case of Castagna not trying out there if anything he is trying too hard and making simple mistakes.

It is easy to blame the umpires but throwing the ball back blind because it saves time isn’t ever going to work

So you give Caracella all the credit for our success and premierships and little to none to Dimma? Carcella is an assistant coach at Essendon yeah? You know that rabble of a club that’s playing rubbish football. Caracella must be some kind of genius.

For a guy that has given us all our success, it’s amazing to hear our own supporters hate on Dimma so much. I don’t recall any hate for Clarke from dawks supporters over there successfull era.

I think he went to throw it, then pretty much just dropped it and ran to the bench. It was definetly 50.

I know mate but those two decisions cost us a 6 point win,I agree with Dimma though and you that we should have made it a formality earlier but it does not change those 2 rorts.
Swans have been bog average this year,I knew they would play their little leggies off against us,every team does.
Port will play their little leggies off in two weeks.
Hashtag is on high beam.
We play the Swans team form when they play any other team and we win by 7 goals.
