You mean apart from being equal second in the Coleman?

Helped by the 10 goals against North to a large degree. Wouldn't be close surely.

I am a doggies fan and Bruce isnt in the team. Naughton is having a better year than Bruce. I think the complete reversal in Bruces form has his season somewhat overrated (he has been fantastic but not AA fantastic)

Agree on Naughton. That is a better shout. Probably depends how many true keys they pick. McKay is one so he has one position. I'd be amazed if Jeremy Cameron isn't there at the end of the year as he'll get plenty of chances to kick goals. The other forwards who knows, Toby Greene has one HFF. There hasn't really been an elite small forward this year (maybe Tippa from Essendon), Papley has been down, Butler poor, so maybe they pick an extra key.

It's two weeks he's been missing....if you count the game against Geelong. ;)

He's played 3 cracking games out of 8......not enough for me but I am sure he'll get there in the end.
5* he was dominant against saints , would sneak a brownlow vote, and was one of our best against port almost winning it for us . He has had a very good year overall. Geelong game his only average full game. Most of our team was missing after qtr time anyways. So 5 out of 6 good games.

Tom MacDonald.

Not saying he's a lock, or that he's in AA form, or that he would deserve a place in the AA squad, or even worthy of consideration of being in the squad (... yet).

Just saying (very quietly) that I think he's "making himself known", "putting his hand up" as some might say. Both hands even. "One to watch!!!".

Herculean efforts last two weeks. Brought us back from the brink of destruction with BIG grabs. Set shots like poetry, haircut you could set a watch to, and such a beautiful football story too.

Don't worry about statistics, this is the definition of "impact player" right here. Some things in life just can't be understood with numbers. You have to actually see him to understand how good he is. Watch the replay against Carlton (spoiler alert: Dees win, again!), fantastic stuff from my man MacDonald.

Keep this up for a few more weeks and he'd be the biggest lock in the history of locks; All-Australian Captain MacDonald, throw away the key!

Apart from the 10 goals against the North reserves what's he done? Surely he's not even close.

He kicked 5 last week against Carlton. Carlton would have had the game sewed up at half time if he wasn't playing. Averaging over 2 goals a game even without the North game and providing a massive target

I love the “take out the 10 against north” argument people bring up about Bruce having a shit year, you’ve still got to kick 10 goals in a game 😂 like no one else has managed this year. Why should you take out his best game?

In saying that I don’t have Bruce AA but just always find that argument funny

Levi Casboult.

Not saying he's a lock, or that he's in AA form, or that he would deserve a place in the AA squad, or even worthy off (sic) consideration of being in the squad (...yet).

Just saying a random player's name who does not belong in this thread like the guy I'm quoting.

I think McDonald has the most coaches' votes of any key forward. He's doing pretty well.

Levi Casboult.
Levi's probably coming third in your b&f, but is that really enough? Really?

Re: Tommy, I guess you never watched him play on the weekend, and I don't blame you for turning away from the tele, but he got 8 coaches votes for the game: that's pretty good for a guy who kicked less goals than AA "lock" Harry McKay, though maybe the coaches took votes from Harry for the hammy acting..? Got a few "Craig McLachlan" vibes from Harry there.

Anyway just reckon Tommy's "putting his hand up" as the old footy colloquialism goes. Very nice couple of weeks.

And thank you for pointing out the typo in my post, this has been amended now.

Next best has been 7 goals for McKay. He and Walker have a bag of 6 as well.

Exactly. Not sure he's in the AA team just yet, but he's surely on the fringe. He'd probably be just behind Oliver and Salem in our B&F atm. Having a great year. 16 goals isn't at the top end of the Coleman, but surely we aren't looking purely at goals kicked to make the team...

Just poking a bit of fun man. no need to get so sensitive. mcdonald looks good, just dont think hes a realistic shot.

This is an ignorant take. Keath is arguably more exposed than all of them because he's the sole tall in the Bulldogs back line. He's statistically ahead of most of those guys in multiple defensive areas.
Correct, most of the others have a sidekick like May and Lever, Weitering and Jones etc
