with all these really good rookies especially gold coast ones picking the right ones to START


is going to cause ginourmous headaches for everyone yours truly especially

for example i can totally see me starting duigan and him scoring 50 odd and stanley go's onto score 70 odd which could mean the difference between a car or not a car

so ALOT of research and even more luck is going to be needed to decide which rookies to start and which to bench

another way that seperates the men from the boys

Well, for round one at least, you can 'cheat'.

Put Duigan as emg and put another playing rookie on the field like Hibberd (for example).

If Duigan scores shit, keep it as it is and hope Hibberd scores higher.

If Duigan scores something you're happy with like 80+, sub off Hibberd for a GC rookie on Friday and you'll get Duigan's score.

A partial lockout will be in place for rounds 1, 5 and 6 this year.

Which means a lot of people will have a crack at naming Gibbs VC for the same purpose.

I had good success naming Buddy VC in the split round last year

Looks pretty spot on apart from Illes. With the pre season he has had he shouldn't be near where he is.

I'm just curious to ask, while this is a discussion for backs yet it is about rookies and tdb did post it here, is there any motivation behind ranking Stanley ahead of Toy? Both were listed on monty's rd 2 team although Toy was listed on the bench.

The reasoning behind it is that GC is going to need some big bodies at least in the early rounds. Fwiw, I think they'll both play.

Toy will only get better as time goes on. He is a gun. He is very maturely built aswell, so ready to go.

Agree...Toy is a gun. He is definitely in my team. I just believe that Stanley, being a bigger, stronger body, will play as much as Toy and will probably play across half forward and through the midfield, hence he will likely score more than Toy this year.

Just my thoughts... seems like most people agree with the ranking list.
