Apparently Daniels is a skinny wingman who tested well at screening, whilst having a fractured leg. Represented Vic Country.

His YouTube clip shows him as someone who bursts through traffic well, his kicking doesn't look elite though.

Replacement for Ray?
He's not skinny,he's twice the size ray was when drafted,They call him JAMO,,At his high school jamo and rusty sidebotton were stand outs,,he didnt start playing afl till grade 6,,

People, people, he looks NOTHING like Farren.

Ray = ambler, good endurance
Daniels = bolter, questionable endurance (doesn't get a lot of the footy)

Ray = horrible kick and kicking action
Daniels = wonderful smooth kicking action

Ray = making bad decisions in space
Daniels = making OK decisions in the contest

Ray = the most one-paced player I have ever seen
Daniels = zippy and agile

If he can work on his field positioning to gather more of the ball and if he can build some strength through the hips he will be a good player.

You think?
Didn't appear that way. Again I am only going on the video...

This kid has something most of the other Kids in this draft do not!
He breaks packs!
Has pace!
Works Hard!
Kicks 50!

The reason he is still there at this stage is that he is 182cm not the blue-print every club now works buy.

I can assure you with that pace and the way he tackles Eade will be thinking Tag

Well said slats...Griffo, breaks packs, has pace, works hard, kicks 50...if the kid beefs up a little I think he has the talent to develop.

In effect we're taking him around pick 90, I think they're all a bit speculative at that mark.
Quite right.Have seen a fair bit of Daniels over the last two years and while I appreciate the work he has done to get himself rookied I have my doubts aboutr how effective he will be at that level. Would agree that decision making and disposal to team mates by foot isn't great but I suppose thats what the rookie system is all about .Let the experts have a crack at getting them better in areas they may struggle.Anyone that has a couple of years in the TAC cup can obviously play and I wish anyone in his position all the best in reaching their potential.
