If you weren't a Laird fan after that then you should give up watching footy.
Really hope he makes AA this year as he was very lucky to miss out last year.
That's real newsDid I hear he had 40 possessions today? Or did I mishear or dream it?
The thing that makes me admire him more is that he isn't an athlete like clubs want. He isn't fast. He is small. He doesn't have a "weapon", but he just gives his everything week in, week out. He is an old school footballer, and just like Caleb Daniel he is giving pride to little people....Was just fantastic today. Was brilliant last year too
Reckon he will get some attention, which will free Smith more up who seemed to cop it today

Smith was very damaging in the 2nd half I felt, I can't see teams putting work into both at the same time, would disrupt team balance/spread too much. Cameron and Milera were brilliant too coming off the back of the square. Was just fantastic today. Was brilliant last year too

I actually think that if Laird was tagged and taken out of the game it would have a pretty bad impact on our rebounding and linking abilities.
People have said the same thing about Smith. The trick for us is to have enough rebounders they can't lock them all down.[/QUOTE
the other trick is for the same players to be good at defending too. Laird definitely can - such a good player!
He is actually quite quick: Rory Laird 2.91 s over 20m https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/some-testing-results.1146194/The thing that makes me admire him more is that he isn't an athlete like clubs want. Damm, there must be some weird optical illusion going on with those little legs because I don't think I have seen him outrun anyone lolHe is actually quite quick: Rory Laird 2.91 s over 20m https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/some-testing-results.1146194/
