U wot mate?

It's being driven by Lobb and his manager, definitely not Fremantle. We don't have a forward line that would allow us to discard even mediocre forwards like Lobb. He has way too much importance to us to let him go for what he is worth.

Maybe have a listen to what Bell has to stay. He is staying and has been told that throughout the year.

Bell was quite clearly open to the option if it worked to Fremantles benefit.

He's a cat.

29 years old next season and he's averaged over 1 goal a game twice in his career and one of them was last year, a season after which his club is seemingly happy to discuss moving him on.

Not a pure ruck and a below average forward.

He's on about double what he should be on. GWS are well within reason to lowball him.

A pure ruck who doesnt want to ruck.

What do Freo fans genuinely think is his worth given he was traded in whilst under contract for the points equivalent of a mid second round pick? His partner wants to move from Perth, there seems to be a falling out with Longmuir and he's moving into the twilight of his career, not the type of situation any club is likely to overpay for.

His value is really hard to work out. If we were flush with forwards and he was only contracted for one year he would be valued a lot differently to what he is now with 2 years to run and a lack of key forwards on our list.

Hard to put a value as he is so valuable for freo's structure as we have zero forward line.

If we didn't need him a pick in the 30's.

But our list is shocking when it comes to forwards, if Lobb leaves then we have an injury prone Taberner who can't get through a full season and Josh Treacy who is a 19yo off the rookie list.

Don't see this getting done, he holds too much value for Freo (even if he is a limited player).

Looks like Young playing games. Again.
Giants are not going to pay overs in anyway shape or form.
Dockers don’t want him to walk.

There is always two sides to a story - sending your client to do a medical with another club is traditionally the final nail in the deal.

Freo are playing the game, but their story does not add up. Think Lobb wants out, think Freo are just going to have to cut their losses on this one.

700K a year is huge money to pay a player that does not want to be there, prepared to play for less money elsewhere & done a medical with another club. Plus most importantly a disconnect between Freo & Lobbs management.

If, Hill wants to go home and just like Cerra deal Giants need to be compensated for the 21 year old similar to what they paid.

This deal is probably not going to be popular but

1/ Freo Out Lobb & 22 In Future 2nd & Hill (makes the Hill & Cerra deal consistent) ( Clark Deal bares no resemblance Lobb the player is pushing the deal - not the suitor ie GWS in this case) If Freo & GWS do this deal maybe you could also see this deal unlocking the Dawson Deal if GWS on trade 13 & 22 to Adelaide

Or an alternative is although I prefer 1/

2/ Freo Out Lobb & 6 In 13, Future 2nd & Hill values Hill at pick 35 and gives Freo a split of 6

The problem is the valuation between teams will be so drastically different.

No way a team should pay much for him with a high salary and inconsistent performance.
No way Fremantle should release him from the last 2 years of his contract when we have negative depth in the KPF position, have no issues with the salary cap and can't find a reasonable replacement anywhere.

Quite simply it will only happen because we just don't want him ruining the vibe, which is kind of my expectation and hence it will end in tears for Freo.

He is worth to us, what it would cost to replace him.
so anywhere between Logan MacDonald, Tim English, to Darcy Cameron

we’ll need to have a replacement lined up, before we let him go

Assuming Clark goes for pick 19 (which he's really not worth but we digress).

Freo could trade Lobb + 22 for pick 13 from GWS.

They will probably have to chip in for Lobb's salary tho, which they can easily afford.

You serious? That would be a horrid trade for Fremantle, let alone having to chip in for his salary too.

Also doubt Geelong get 19 out of Freo, more likely to be 22.
