It’s a way of spreading out his contract so his yearly payments won’t be the 700k or whatever it is.

Ok - sounds 100% fair. I'm more than happy to have him back - but what will be will be.

I trust our recruiters, he always seemed a popular player amongst his team mates. Lets see what happens ... if it doesn't eventuate so be it. (but must confess I'm looking forward to having him back) Its totally come from left field - I thought he was VIC bound.

I didn't say I was insulted. I said your attempt to deny a pretty pathetic troll attempt was insulting.

There's a difference.

You sure you're a mod?

I'm sure. I'll tell you what. How about you report the post instead of making false accusations as to my intent, and allow this board's mods to decide?

I don't have a history of trolling anybody over the 21 years I have been here and you're the only one who responded as though I read trolling.

I found the Lobb thing very strange. Sue me. Sheesh.

Not sure why Rory is treated with some disdain by Freo supporters. At a goal and a half per game (and some crucial) he's proven his worth.
He's been a second (and sometime first) tall option, expected to ruck to give Darcy a rest and to help out in the midfield.
I also think for a big bloke he's above average below the knees.
He may not clunk as many as he should in the forward 50 but a lot of that is due to the dearth of real KPF options we've had and he attracts a lot of attention.
His downside is obviously his set shot confidence has varied a lot and his leading isn't always there with him appearing to prefer using his natural height to advantage.

I'd rather keep him to be honest. Maybe for another year until Meek is cemented in as no 2 ruck.

If he's determined to go to the GWS... I'd rather have Bobby Hill than Cogs but either will do.

Peter Bell trying to say the offer to Lobb via his manager Col Young was insufficient for Lobb. I guess the money and years wasn't enough.

However I'm not sure why youd agree to a trade their before knowing the terms?
The whole thing is bizarre. Seems like Young is doing his best to make lemons out of lemonade the only way he knows how, leak anything and everything to the media regardless of how far along it is.

Why a pick your way? Not sure why you chased Lobb but doubtful we’ll send you a pick on top of Bobby.
A 20 year old talented x-factor small fwd who has another 10 years in him vs a 29 year old tall fwd who no one seems to like at your club.
Hmmm wonder why the pick would come back to the Giants.

believe me I would rather we keep Hill over getting Lobb.

We didn’t chase Lobb, his manager asked the whole comp and we asked a question in response. **** you guys seem to think you have a contracted 20 year Buddy on your hands.

Lol you guys want his contract gone. Pretty blatant really.
It’s why Lobb is all over the media.
No we dont, its all over the media because Colin Young is his manager. The contract means nothing to us

Will have to be a pick and Lobb for Bobby Hill if he is involved. He is way more valuable that Lobb at this stage.

In all seriousness though, we are kidding ourselves if we think that Coniglio is not being talked into leaving by GWS officials. Its literally the perfect opportunity for them to move him on. They will not get a better chance considering the cap space that the Dockers currently have.

Im a serious Cogs fan, but he would benefit greatly from a move to his home state. Not to mention the fact that GWS will be running Hopper, Taranto, Kelly, Ward, Whitfield, Green and Callaghan in their midfield.

If that was happening it would be all over the media. There isn’t even a hint of it happening.

Hill has a baby on the way, doesn’t he? I wonder if GWS will take a third round pick for Bobby to get the family support he needs, like they did Finlayson?

Think this would be appropriate. GWS are renowned for caring about player welfare.
