Reportedly GWS contract offer wasn't what Lobb thought he was worth

Next to no chance we give up a top 10 pick to move further back in the draft as part of the Lobb deal. There is always two sides to a story - sending your client to do a medical with another club is traditionally the final nail in the deal.
ack further in the draft as apart of the
Freo are playing the game, but their story does not add up. Think Lobb wants out, think Freo are just going to have to cut their losses on this one.
700K a year is huge money to pay a player that does not want to be there, prepared to play for less money elsewhere & done a medical with another club. Plus most importantly a disconnect between Freo & Lobbs management.
If, Hill wants to go home and just like Cerra deal Giants need to be compensated for the 21 year old similar to what they paid.
This deal is probably not going to be popular but
1/ Freo Out Lobb & 22 In Future 2nd & Hill (makes the Hill & Cerra deal consistent) ( Clark Deal bares no resemblance Lobb the player is pushing the deal - not the suitor ie GWS in this case) If Freo & GWS do this deal maybe you could also see this deal unlocking the Dawson Deal if GWS on trade 13 & 22 to Adelaide
Or an alternative is although I prefer 1/
2/ Freo Out Lobb & 6 In 13, Future 2nd & Hill values Hill at pick 35 and gives Freo a split of 6
Some interesting points, but there have been some developments. There is always two sides to a story - sending your client to do a medical with another club is traditionally the final nail in the deal.

Fremantle have rejected GWS Future 2nd as an offer they will consider. The offer has to be something better than a Future 2nd for Lobb.Lobb & 22 In Future 2nd & Hill
Fremantle have been very clear that they want to take their 2 top 10 picks to the draft.Lobb & 6 In 13, Future 2nd
Mundy?I thought Tom Hickey played career best footy this year.
Goddammit Willo!!Some interesting points, but there have been some developments.

You did a medical before the story even broke so you are sufficiently interested. We haven't chased him, he wants out. It's a Freo problem, seems to happen a fair bit.
Flawed logic - My 10 yo Holden is not worth S100,000 because I want to buy a near brand new BMW at $100,000

Oh God, this is why the Clark deal is currently parked isn't it. You want Neale as well. You did a medical before the story even broke so you are sufficiently interested.
The only way this happens is if we have a replacement lined up and if GWS really want him. I can't see a future pick (unless it was a 1st rounder) working as we could just keep him for 12 months and still hold him next year if still required rather than have currency we can't spend. He would need to perform to have future suitors interested & another big pay day.
I would normally say this doesn't happen except all the trade journos recon he is gone.
Yeah, Lachie heard we were interested in Neale, and got all excited...Oh God, this is why the Clark deal is currently parked isn't it. You want Neale as well.
The Clark deal is parked because Geelong are being Greedy. Belly likes to do 2-3 trades a day and soon we won't have 19 or 22 left.Oh God, this is why the Clark deal is currently parked isn't it. You want Neale as well.
Are there actual talks of Hill being involved? No thanks, we have enough inconsistent small forwards.

what a ridiculous comment. He was at his best in the 2010 Wafl Gf though.
Hes got 12 years on the clock, so hes getting to the end of his career
No, it's been made up.
Think you'll find the trade is basically agreed. Could easily be Bell trying to bring Geelong assets to a Lobb trade for the benefit of all concernedThe Clark deal is parked because Geelong are being Greedy. Belly likes to do 2-3 trades a day and soon we won't have 19 or 22 left.
Either that, or they've been asked to hold off until the last day, to create some drama.Think you'll find the trade is basically agreed. Could easily be Bell trying to bring Geelong assets to a Lobb trade for the benefit of all concerned
Good - so all we have to do is stick firm around Future 2nd. No club will keep a player on 700k that does not want to be there, done a medical with us. It will probably go to the wire but get done. We have the right culture.
( Victorian deal obviously fell over pretty damn obvious what team it was now - 80% of all deals fall over each year anyway)
Sounds like a Super PAC in US politics.******* lol, yeah sure, Rory isnt the one driving it, just Colin Young
Yep, Colin is driving.....his new Mercedes******* lol, yeah sure, Rory isnt the one driving it, just Colin Young
