Anyone with eyes can see it. That's what makes his extension nothing more than pandering to a selfish player that won't resign. They talk about leadership but leadership would have been stepping aside when he did his ACL to give opportunity to a younger player. That's leadership. What Shuey and Natanui did was leadership.

Nicks is the guy who picked Brown in round one, picked Himmelberg over RT at the start of the season. Thinks Dawson is better playing in the back pocket etc etc

Identifying players strengths and weaknesses is not Nicks forte, it shouldn't come as a surprise he's clueless about how Slowne is performing.
 
seriously just had a chance to listen to his 5aa interview on Tuesday, as soon as he mentioned as you get older there are always talks about performance but I won’t have to worry about my role in the team being at risk for another few years yet, I turned it off instantly. Disgusted and in total denial of his own performances. I want to see the back of Rory Sloane, get out of my club.

Near enough is good enough at our club.

Even now, just look at how we are gushing at nearly beating the good teams.

So according to Rory, it's not a chat about "you'll be playing SANFL next year" they've said they'll still pick him if his form is good enough, which Rory believes it will be. So you can probably put away the "he was signed to play SANFL" talk, because that's not what Rory is saying was sold to him.

Not only for 2024, he still has the expectation currently he can continue on past that point. So look forward to another media campaign push like this year to be on the cards.

Surely taking the piss or he really is delusional. If I heard that and was the coach I would say let's have a chat Rory and retire him on the spot.
