My agenda of wanting to see Freo succeed and be the best in the league? I mean, fair play if you want to call me out on that but it seems to be a strange board to do it on?

We both want the club to succeed.

You post 99% hatred towards the club. It doesn't change anything nor does it help create healthy discussion.

People can dislike Ross and Rosich etc however constructive criticism is more welcoming than straight out sooking that never ends with you.

I’m not sure how your post goes against what I’m saying. It confirms it. We were killing it, then we weren’t. Whether that’s Lyon or the AFL systematically killing us. It’s the same thing. Also beating Richmond wasn’t then, what it is now. They weren’t much chop in 2015.

I actually liked most of your post that I responded to (but didn't totally agree with your last paragraph).

People often think I'm debating their post when most often I am providing some additional statistics that I have gathered that I believe are relevant to that topic.
I would have liked this post of yours, but I believe Richmond were better than not much chop in 2015. They won 13 of their last 16 H&A games and finished 5th. They beat Norths by 41 points in R23, then did what they did back then and bowed out in the first week of the finals by losing to Norths by 17 points.
See, I just did it again ... not debating your post, just adding some stats.

I remember the year very well. The narrative was about the inability to score. And tackles before goals. A lot of negativity surrounded the way we were playing late in games (shutting up shop) in the first half of the year, after getting a big lead. Then in the 2nd half of the year we were grinding out wins, nowhere near as convincing as the first half. There was a narrative that Lyon had some tactics saved for finals. Which ended up bulls**t. We were in a rut which continued into 2016 and beyond.

Our dour style was criticized endlessly. But apparently it became ok not to score 2017 Bulldogs, and just tackle like maniacs 2018 Richmond when the teams were from Victoria.

2015 Lyon lost his identity, he gave the preseason training to some assistants, tried to copy Hawthorn. Ever since that point he’s trying to find himself again. Now he’s cuddly Ross, I’m not sold. He seems to have peaked in his coaching prowess and now is declining. The Clarkson protege’s all sit atop the ladder. Only Collingwood are not in the Clarkson mould. Maybe Richmond with its unique ball movement. We don’t have an identity at the moment.
100% this. I'll add that there were many of us saying that the likes of Weller and Blakely should be being blooded but Ross kept replacing experience with experience which kept us on top but to the detriment of the future. As we found out some 6 months later.
taking the better percentage option every time should lead to success.
Should is the optimum word here.
Over the course of a season the percentage play should get you the percentage result. However in those important moments, such as a Prelim or GF, a team needs a champion who can get the result from the low percentage play.
When Tiger Woods was at his peak, he won so often because he executed the shots he shouldn't have hit. Not executing the percentage lay up, but the low percentage 250 yard carry over water, the draw around the trees, the flop shot straight at the pin with water behind (he chunks it he stays in the rough, he thins it, he's in the water, he hits it perfectly, he wins. Guess what he does?).
Of course in Ross's defense, you can do the perentage play, Chris Mayne gets a free 30m out and misses from directly in front.
In golf you can't win the tournament in the first 3 days but you can lose it. However come Sunday you hunt the pin. Its very rare that the player playing the percentages wins with multiple players in contention.
He who dares wins.
Knowing when to to play the percentage or pull the trigger is one of the great things in all sports. Neither on their own will make you a champion. Sometimes effort will give you the result, other times you need to sit back and let the talent seduce you.
I'm pretty sure we all know where Ross sits.

If there are none available, could we just change our players names by deed poll?

Would that work?
Sean Rioli wins the tap and its grabbed by Nat Rioli who has a bounce, handpasses over to Brandon Rioli who kicks truly!!
Has a nice ring about it :)

Wowsers, 50 pages since I last came in here, great to see passionate debate.

Nothings changed from my perspective, he should be given until the bye 2020 before a call is made (extend or sack).

Our injuries are a huge issue and I hope Bell is looking at this closely. Brisbane had 1 player in their injury list last week. ONE!

10 wins was the minimum for me before the season with zero 100+ point losses, we came bloody close against West Coast. After our great start to the year I was hoping to make finals this year, the last 3 weeks have left me flat and deflated.

We are only into year 3 of a rebuild with a huge turnover of the list.

If we lose B.Hill, S.Hill and Langdon it will be a huge setback and if this does happen I hope a serious review is done into losing blokes.

Hatred? Hardly.

Do I think the club is being toothless right now? Yes. Would I prefer they be ruthless the way there were when they got rid of Harvey? Yes. Do I think Ross is the man to take us to the cup? No. Does that wipe away all the good things he did for us as a club? No.

Some people on the board post worse things about our young players than I ever have about Lyon.

You missed the one where Rory Rioli takes it out the ruck and kicks it lace out to Matt Rioli who goals from just inside the 50

Yet you so easily dismiss the Win-Loss record. Odd.
It's odd you say that, because I don't believe I have ... please provide evidence.

I recall showing that at the same time in 2018, as at Round 16, Freo had one more win, ie. 7 in 2019 vs 6 in 2018.
(NB: Now after Round 17, we no longer do, with 7 wins in 2019 as we did in 2018.)

Fair enough. My apologies.

Tsk tsk fellow haters I tried to tell you .... get all the sh*t off your chest over the weekend because if you are still taking pot shots at Rosco by Monday* the Posse will ride you down and string you up

If you stick to the cosmic flow of the tread we can all avoid these 5 page he said / she said sh*tfights for the most part

Namaste

* Tuesday if we play Sunday

I voted yes!

But i feel he's getting a little to comfortable in his position.
Time to bring in a Senior Assistant who's ready to take over if Ross Lyon can't make his players perform.

If he had made finals this year i still wouldn't have signed him to an extension - I would of waited til Round 10-11 next year.

Sick of the old cliche answers from Ross Lyon - start working on the disposal rather than too much structure which ain't going so well!

Well I don't slag off the team that I support unlike you
Good for you? It’s not ok to ever say a bad word against the team you support? You and I clearly have very different definitions of support.

I’m not alone in wanting Lyon gone. There are a large numbers of supporters who want it. If you didn’t want to read negative comments about Lyon, maybe don’t start a thread next time?

You constantly slag off Freo. Massive difference

Feel free to report me if you think I’m breaking any rules? Otherwise you can always put me on ignore?

I love Freo. Got a huge man crush on Fyfe. Think we need a new coach. Sorry that’s so offensive to you.
