Thank you for everything Ross. The last couple of years have clouded how important he was for us at the start of his tenure.

This isn't necessarily the turnaround that so many people are convinced it will be. We now need to get some critical decisions right or the club will slide even further.

I've heard through the grapevine Peter Sumich will be the new senior coach. They're trying to get back to Fremantle roots.

Disappointed as I would have loved Caracella or Longmuir.

Longmuir is more Freo than Sumich AFAIC, even with the Eagles taint.

Glad Ross is going/gone but not sure if there's many winners here.

Good thing we're only vying with 4 other clubs for a new coach

North and Carlton are done.

St Kilda the only other club and seem very keen on appointing Ratten who would be great for their club. Otherwise they are free to appoint Ross

Anyway we have a clean sheet to go for any new assistant as a head coach. I wonder if the difficulty in getting new experienced assistants has played a role?

I was happy to back Ross in while he was there but now the club has gone and done this, I am thinking it might be the way to go. The club has a fresh list and needs a fresh coach who can lead this club to its first premiership. There’s been far too much angst lately amongst our supporters and the club internally. I am grateful for what Ross did ; leading us to a GF in 2013. But it’s time for something new now I think.
