it just goes to show the behaviour essendon supporters showed wasnt some unique to their club. for all the shit they copped from freo fans, we are now seeing they really are no different.
fact is any controversial matter that has the club shown in a negative light will be defended by supporters regardless of if their stance is right or wrong.

Where did the club claim that Work Cover WA were involved? Below is to my knowledge the only official statement made by the club on this matter and there is no reference to Work Cover WA at all.
"This was a workplace matter that has been resolved by the club and independently investigated by the AFL's Integrity Unit at the request of the club, the subject of the complaint and with due respect and care for our former employee.
"With regard to the requested investigation under the AFL's Respect and Responsibility Policy, the league completed it some months ago to the AFL's and the club's full satisfaction and no sanction was imposed.
"At the core of the AFL's Respect and Responsibility policy are guidelines around maintaining and respecting the privacy of all parties, and we will continue to abide by that and will not comment any further."
Well clearly Gerard had a problem at the time to make the statement (something about integrity). I obviously don't know what Gerard thinks today.
And will return to Melbourne as have heard his family have been itching to get back to Victoria.

Have you since found a statement from either the AFL or Freo where either of those parties explicitly says this was lodged with workcover and not just where the journalist implies it?
