I don’t know what Culley has supposedly done off field but I didn’t think he did much in the scratch match so maybe it’s just lack of form?

Maybe, but Xon is in and he wasn't spectacular in his showing, albeit busier than Culley. With Yeo out it seems Xon has moved into that spot.

Simmo has thrown the torch on him a little though, which I don't mind.

It's so weird, all the boys were singing his praises and he tears up the pre season. Then he hardly gets played in the pre season matches with the main team and now sits our Round 1.

It's one of three things for me.

1) Injured.

2) Not doing what is asked of him on field and has to work on aspects of his game.

3) Has been offered a contract but has told the club he wants to go home so they have thought no need playing him and prioritizing others ahead of him now.

I really hope it's not option 2 and doubt it's option 1 or the club would have said something surely.

I mean good for XON if he’s earned his spot over the preseason and cemented with Yeo out. I’m so WTF on the Culley situation though, it’s very intriguing. The club had him as first on field for R1 a mere few weeks back

Suspect Culley could just be a mix of practice match form and midfield balance (especially speed). Also suspect the club might rather these young guys get practice running out a full game than warming a seat as an emergency or the sub in round 1.

They ran him for 6 consecutive periods in Praccy 1 and talked up large about it. Now he's in Burrows territory.

Odds on he's got some sort of lower leg to OP type issue that they are hoping no one will call them out on.
He only played the first half of the first Port game then came back on for the second twos game.
