We need a hardened inside unit to combat Freo and I think if we are going to play that mobile ruck against Sandilands then he needs ruck assistance from Redpath and Boyd, both as a 3rd man up and the chop out option.

Gone with Adams ahead of Roberts purely because they don't have any threatening sizable forwards and Adams could play on a range of players there (most likely Pav/Mayne).

What Roberts, before Roughead at CHB not sure about that

The indications are that Roughy is not training to be the staple KP back, more a ruck/forward role this year, from what I have heard. I think he'll only play back at times or if required due to match ups. so if that is the case then it's possible he could be the number one ruck or even CHF instead of big Red.

He's the hardest one to place. I think the club prefer others to hold down KP defence, remains to be seen if they can.

One of the teams that will test the speed of our midfield. If they can keep Bennell's head right and get more goals from their mids, they'll be hard to stop this year.

Yes, this team is undersized. No, I don't expect us to line up this small. I just think each of the players above is more likely to play round 1 than any player who isn't listed above. For example, we have four players (Hamling, Roberts, Adams and Collins) realistically competing for 2 key-defensive positions. On the other hand, we have 20-25 medium/smalls who are realistically competing for about 16 medium/small positions- personally, I prefer those odds.
