Boo hoo. We won't see the flag unfurl.

Zzzzz......

Have just spent nearly 6 months enjoying the flag, it's about time we looked forward not backward. As Round 0 has shown, there's no more dining out on past glories.

I'll be there 7:30, in time for kickoff and for the REAL action.

Have to respectfully disagree.

It's one of the great traditions of winning the Premiership. Supporters deserve to be there to celebrate and enjoy it.

I see it as the final acknowledgement to what we achieved, before we move on for a new season ahead.

Does anyone else think that Kane Cornes’ article about Collingwood in the Age has more holes than Swiss cheese? Here’s an example from the article:

Collingwood could replicate that structure with Daicos, Jamie Elliot, recruit Lachie Schultz, Norm Smith medallist Bobby Hill, Beau McCreery – and Brody Mihocek as the sole key forward. It looks far more potent than what was wheeled out against the Giants.

(Or pretty much the same).

Basically he is recommending that Crisp and a few other ageing stars rotate through the midfield and move Naicos up forward.

You can almost feel the strain as he then has to pad out the article with a mix of irrelevant, or obvious, shizen.

And because it doesn’t suit the narrative, he conveniently missed the single reason we lost last week; delivery into the forward 50 was as bad as it gets. So, moving Naicos forward makes that worse…

Terrible article.

Make Collingwood great again: The one move that can improve the Pies in 2024

Just putting this out there.. Ive heard Fin will play. Wont be the sub.
They'll be a consequence of this. But if this comes to play, big test for him.
Swannies will be physical like they targetted Nick the last time we played them, hope we are ready to dish out as good as we get it.

I think there are more reasons as why we lost but I assume he’s suggesting it so Naicos and deliver inside the 50 more inside as of getting scrappy possessions in the middle.

I don’t agree with his suggestion or his suggested forward line though. If we want to move Nick Daicos anywhere to improve our ball use it should be at half back.

How are they our bunnies? We've only won 1 of our last 4 against them.

They haven't really been our bunnies since we won 11 in a row against them from 2006 through to 2012.

Even last year they gave us a little bit of a scare; scored 30-7 in the second quarter and led us by 8 points at half time. We only led by 5 points at the 3/4 time break before a 32-8 last quarter, resulting in a 29 point win.
Haven't lost to them in Melbourne since 2013

I don't think they'll bring him in for just one game. Should get a block of chances to show if he belongs.

I agree. He hasn't had that block of games since 2021 I think..
And if he adjusts and plays well, I think it'll be hard to take him from the team. Then they'll have an issue on their hands.

I live in Daylesford. I also work. Guess what? I'm going to do everything I can to get there whatever time the flag gets unfurled.
Hey EM
I live in Hepburn.
Be good to have a game day buddy at The Royal for interstate games

Easy. Last in first out. Drop the least experienced mid. See you later Nick. Enjoy the VFL.

It’s not as easy as just moving it back. Game operations is one of the hardest jobs in the AFL yet probably the least spoken about, not to the mention how this is an event in itself. If you’ve ever seen an AFL run sheet, it’s one of the tightest documents out there. Teams follow it to the minute and it’s why almost all games start bang on time. Heaps of obligations between sponsors, clubs, the AFL, etc.

I think if we want to snap the team out of their premiership hangover I would drop a couple of premiership players tonight. Set the standards early - don’t just drop Noble and AJ and think that will do it

Jen and I are dropping Nick Daicos to make a statement.

That seems a little drastic.

I would just give them a nice fried meal, a Berocca and have them jump under a cold shower, usually does the trick for me.
